Re: Prayed over a drowning victim...was resurrecte
Yep, my Brother Will prayed for it.
It happened early this morning while up on a ladder. The gun fell from my clip and bounced into the pool. Went down 6 feet of water. Couldn't find the pool net, so I used a broom. Must of hit the trigger dragging to the shallow part. Reached down pulled it out. Yanked the battery out, and called Makita. They said sorry to hear what happened, but the gun is most likely dead. Was speaking with Brother Burk around 12 o'clock and had a battery back in the gun. Tried to run the gun while talking with Brother Burk the gun was dead. At the end of work was speaking with Brother Will on the way home, and told him. He said brother, let's pray. We prayed, and Brother Will said Lord make the Makita work. After we had prayed, and chatted for a while I reached over to the gun, and pulled the trigger. It started!!!! It runs like a champion. Thank you Jesus! Praise God for prayer. |

Re: Prayed over a drowning victim...was resurrecte
I don’t think I’ve ever really made a prayer request on AFF...and I know this thread is a little “different”, but I would like to give a personal request to a few of my pals on here: My dad was diagnosed w Alzheimer’s quite a while back. He’s getting much worse now, my mom is under a great deal of pressure w it. We (my siblings and I) are trying to work together w her. I’m not wanting to hijack this thread, at all, but wanted to slip in a mention of it to a few friends I saw on this thread, in hopes of mentioning it during your prayers.
I mean, if a Mikita power tool can be brought back to working properly...how much the more... :) I sincerely thank you, brothers. |

I told Bro Benincasa he should name his resurrected Makita, Lazarus. Then when he gets it from his car he can say, "Lazarus, come forth."

I’d like to see the electricians report to verify if this was a healing, or if the drill needed to dry.

I also heard Bro. Benincasa has repented for haphazardly carrying his Makita around when it was not needed. That's something to be thankful for as well. :heeheehee |

I have another thing I need to mention. Now, if anyone would of told me this, I wouldn't of believed them. Seriously, I would be hard pressed to believe this, but this is what happened today. Every morning I charge all my batteries for my Makitas. I went to charge the battery that fell in with the gun. It had a full charge, and all the light bars were bright. Used the gun screwing together an entire deck. Worked on it from 9 this morning until 7:30 using the once submerged gun. One of the brothers asked me if I needed another battery. I said no, I still have full power. He said that's impossible and you know it. It is impossible, but the battery still has a full charge. Put it into the charger and it says full charge. I can't explain it and I am just a bit hesitant to claim that the tool was not only restored but has a battery that doesn't need to be charged? |

Re: Prayed over a drowning victim...was resurrecte
OK, I placed the Makita battery into an old DC-18RA Makita charger. It has the red light flashing. Which means two things, one the battery is overheated, and two the battery is defective. Pulled the Makita battery apart and found one cell is oxidized. Yet, all the battery cells checked out nice. Still shows a full charge.
Will not be putting battery back on any of my chargers. Because when you persist placing a "defective battery" or "hot battery" onto a charger. You will fry the pcb board. Then the unit needs to have a new board installed. While I had the battery apart I sprayed it with Paslode cordless tool cleaner (part no. 219348) and cleaned the oxidized terminal. I personally believe that I may have to take an old lap top and use the battery cells from it to replace the one cell in this Makita if it fails. I highly doubt that this is some sort of Elijah situation like the meal and the Ted cruse of oil. Where it just keeps working without stopping. I reassembled the battery and stuck it back into the gun. Will find out Monday how she does. |

But they are like your godhead. Rigid is Ryobi and Milwaukee are made by TTi. Rigid being the licensed Home Depot brand. Makita is One and only one. |

Battery costs are high for Makita stuff also. The Ridgid drills are beasts.(almost snapped my wrist on one, which flew across the garage on a seized bolt) The sawzall can jump out of your hands. The sidewinder auto shuts down under a load momentarily. But that is rectified with a new blade. I even have a stackable cart for all the tools when packing it around the house, made by Ridgid. However, when it comes to serious construction, a good ol worm drive saw is most reliable. I went to buy an American made worm drive a couple months ago, then noticed Skilsaw is Chinese now.....guess what I settled for, right, a Ridgid worm drive with lifetime warranty. The country has changed in 30 years, huh? |
