Testimony I heard today
I went to a nail salon this am for a manicure.I keep my nails nice and short but I like to have a professional manicure now and then.Anyway there is a place that I heard about from a friend that plays gospel music in the salon. So I went over today. The lady who did my manicure and I got to talking and she told me she goes to a Vietnamese Church downtown.
She told me her story and I was amazed at what she went through in Vietnam for her faith. She said they would allow them to have Baptist type meetings but no meetings where anyone spoke in other tongues. She was caught having such a gathering in her home. The government put her picture on the tv and broadcast it to keep everyone from her.She said it only opened more doors to witness about her faith.People would ask her about why she was on tv and voila she told them about the goodness of Jesus.I am going to spend more time with this lady. She just did not want me to leave.I want to ask some of you that you would pray for the Lord to open a door for me into this part of the community. |
Will do sis.
Definitely a good thing! Thanks for sharing. |

My manicurist is from Vietnam, too....I think this is one profession where there are many from Vietnam. The ones I know are from North Vietnam and they are some very nice people!! I will pray about this, T. |
I was very blessed with new souls today.I ran into a nurse I had not seen in ten years who I worked for.She and I shopped together for about forty five minutes. She is originally from Panama. That was so nice. While I was still in the same store(Steinmart) a lady came up to me and introduced herself. She began to tell me how she has really be going through it.Before I left she got paper and pen out and stuck her phone number in my hand.People are so needy. It was nice to have a day of meeting people for Jesus.I also want to
share that if I hang around with the saints alot and I know we all need fellowship I don't meet as many people as I do if I go out in public alone. God is so good. |
Awesome, thanks for sharing this Trouvere!

Testimony I heard today

No doubt you were there "for such a time as this". Could it be that some or many of those that have come to America have been sent by God that they might be able to learn more, and perhaps even help those on this end. We had a missionary from Mexico last night that was such a blessing. We have a small, but fast growing Spanish ministry in our church, with a Spanish pastor that came to us about five years ago. He and his wife were trinitarian and they wrestled for a while with the oneness and baptism in Jesus Name, but God did a work in them. They have worked very closely with the pastor and have been so faithful. God has proved Himself over and over to them. They had been married twelve years and had no children. He said the enemy really provoked him that he wasn't a real man because he couldn't even have a child. His (catholic)sister, who really, with others of his family, criticized him for having being baptized in Jesus Name and becoming oneness, told him she prayed and told God, " If_____ and _____'s God is the true God, let _____ get pregnant THIS year. Before the year was out ____ was pregnant and they had a very healthy little boy, born in 2005. She told her brother with tears in her eyes. Your God is the true God. She has never come to church as yet, but ______ and _____ just had another beauti- ful little son two weeks ago. This Spanish pastor, and others attends all of our services but has a Spanish service one night a week just for Spanish speaking people. Many have obeyed the gospel under his ministry and continues to grow. God is not willing that any should perish. We must do our part in telling them or sending someone who can tell them the truth. The missionary from Mexico told us last night that in the last 17 months he has been deputizing in North America, he has seen over 700 people receive the Holy Ghost. I told my husband that maybe he is a missionary FROM Mexico, sent by God to be a missionary TO North America. God knows! Blessings, Falla39 |

Sis. Trouvere, You have encouraged me to go ahead and make my appointment for my pedicure and manicure my son and wife gave me for Mother's Day. I have never had a pro- fessional pedicure or manicure but.... they are Vietamese, and who knows, they just may be waiting on me to fill in their blanks or they just may have a word for me. God is no respector of persons. He loves all the peoples of the world. He wants us to love them too! Blessings, Falla39 |
