I got mine yesterday. This wonderful "nut case" (lol) has some excellent views on Illegal Immigration. Bush needs to talk to him.

Here is the letter,

With the recent news from Washington focusing on the issue of illegal immigration, I want to inform you of my actions regarding this important policy issue.

I have always been opposed to amnesty for illegal immigrants, and I will vote against the so-called compromise bill that would allow all people in this country illegally to suddenly gain legal status with the stroke of a pen.

Instead of giving people new incentives to come to this country illegally, I believe we should take away existing incentives, such as taxpayer-sponsored benefits, and automatic citizenship for the children of illegals.

Because my approach is to end these incentives, I have once again taken the lead and introduced legislation that would stop so-called "birthright citizenship" for the children of illegals.

Believe it or not, when an illegal immigrant has a child in our country that child now automatically becomes a US citizen. I believe we should stop this.

These children then become so-called "anchor babies" because they are used to help get legal status for the members of their family who are in the US illegally. My legislation would stop this abuse from continuing.

And, in addition to halting amnesty for illegals, I am also fighting to secure our borders to stem the flow of illegals, gangs and drug dealers and to also help prevent terrorists from entering our country.

Unfortunately, the only way he can change the "birthright citizenship" is to amend the 14th amendment which defines citizens, in part, as anyone who is born in the United States. Otherwise, I'm with Ron Paul on this.

Right. I don't know what he's drawing up to get around that. The whole thing seems impossible.

Just wondering if there could be found a loophole here.

If the child is a minor, can he/she be considered, "subject to the jurisdication thereof."? If the parents are illegal and the legal guardian of the said child are they subject to our jurisdiction?

I'll call Ron Paul's office next week and see what he is proposing.

If the child is not subject to our jurisdiction then when they commit crimes then how can he or she be tried in American courts for committing crimes in America? I don't think it has to do with the status of the parents.

LOL! Guess I wasn't thinking that far - from the cradle to the grave.

Thanks, Chancellor. I haven't found any way around the 14th Amendment. I'm still going to check with Ron Paul on that and see what they are proposing. I'll post what I find out.

They are proposing an Amendment to the Constitution which will define who is allowed to be an American Citizen.

Daniel told me that, of course, some won't agree with everything Ron stands for, but we don't do that with any other candidate either. I agreed and we pointed out Rudy's gun control, abortion and homosexual stance.

Digging, he said he saw that clip from "The View" and was pretty surprised by the audience's favorable response to Ron. Just goes to show that people still want to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America. I just kissed my flag! lol! j/k!

Yep... those who feel Ron Paul can't make it fail to understand one thing...

Hidden under the monikers of democrats, republicans, libertarians, independents, constitutionalists etc are a vast crowd of people who just want to see someone stand consistently for what is right.

Conservatives are cheering him.
Liberals are cheering him.
Democrats are cheering him.
Republicans are cheering him.

When the man talks his points are well received and that is for one reason.

Truth has no party.
