he does have a point just not a very valid one. Adam and Eve were vegetarians before the fall.

Vegans aren't vegetarians. Also, we don't know what they ate in garden. Prehistoric plant life, herbals which no longer exist. Veganism cannot sustain you if you have to supplement it.

Yes they were vegetarians, but they lived under different earth conditions.

one hint of what happened after the fall could be in the curse that God gave to Adam. "Cursed is the ground because of you".

So we know that from that moment on the ground became cursed, which might mean that the ground was not longer able to provide all the nutrition required for a strong life. in other words the vitality that existed upon the ground was gone. This forced men to now plant and toil for what previously the ground grew naturally.

Then after the flood a second devastation occurred upon the ground, which made necessary for God to allow the eating of meat to Noah and his descendants.

I was a Vegetarian for three years and vegan for five. During this time no supplementation whatsoever. Vegetarians still use milk, eggs, butter, and honey. Vegans use zero animal products. That is the difference. Vegetarianism and Veganism didn't work for ME. Nor did it work for my wife. My eldest daughter was a vegetarian baby only milk she drank as an infant was from her mother. To this day she won't drink animal milk, but only drinks nut milk. My second daughter was raised on bison meat, venison, and steer. Also chicken, turkey, and fish. She was nursed and when she started to drink milk it was always unpasteurized grass fed cattle milk.

I am currently trying Vegan plus free range eggs, wild caught fish, and vitamin supplements.

I am very unhappy with the inhumane and unsanitary conditions of our meat.

I lift weights and walk 2-5 miles daily.

I find it kinda funny about the free range eggs and such like. Does it make people feel better about themselves to eat eggs from a chicken in a big pin vs a small pin.

not sure whats inhumane about a slaughter house. You would have hated to see the sacrifices in the OT.

Vegan eggs? My heck.

I think some people picture free range chickens roaming a large area of land. Free range chickens don’t live that great of a life.

I am eating a basically Vegan diet, with the exception of eggs and fish.

the eggs are certified humane. I don't think I can remain healthy on a vegan only diet.

https://certifiedhumane.org/humane-eggs/

If the carton says “certified humane” it means the birds were raised in a manner that meets certification requirements of Humane Farm Animal Care. Laying hens must be uncaged and have access to perches, nest boxes and dust-bathing areas. Flock density is limited but birds are not required to have access to the outdoors. Beak trimming is allowed; debeaking is not. Starvation to induce molting is not permitted.

Free range means that they are wandering around the entire farm. They have free area to roam about and eat and drink where ever they feel. My chickens are grass eaters, bugs, and whatever else they come across, small reptiles and rodents. Animals which are treated better and killed quickly are better stock. Animals which are sick and filled with antibiotics, are lower quality. They took care of their animals well in the OT, because it was part of the law Proverbs 12:10, Deuteronomy 25:4. So, logically they would of used the same care in slaughter for sacrifices. Pentecost isn't known for its health practices. They focus on taking care of spiritual while sadly allowing their bodies to fall apart.

It isn't Vegan, if you are eating animal products.

Vegan was a disaster for my wife. Especially during childbirth and nursing.

I couldn't remain vegan.

I need to eat. :)

I admit ignorance about the "cage free" and "free range" claims years ago. I started buying eggs labeled with those terms thinking it meant these chickens were on farms and living in the open range.

I was surprised to find out that "cage free" only means they're not in cages, but still crowded in large pens with hundreds and thousands of other chickens; and that "free range" only means that the door to the cage must be open at least, IIRC, 5 minutes a day or so.

Stupid, misleading, dishonest and plain wrong.

That's why you as a consumer you need to know about the "farm" who produces your "food."

Re: Smart Guy with a Beard

As far as bleeding out, the Romans believed it as the best way to die. It is termed "Roman Suicide" and left up to the magistrate or the emperor to allow you to go that route. Instead of beheading (Roman execution) the way for the elite who were sentenced to death were to open both wrists while in a warm bath. As they bleed out the peacefully slipped away. Hence the slit throat of an animal is quick when done properly. I do emphasize...properly.

Instead of a six pack you have a keg. :lol

180 5’11” and a belly could just be your small intestine is folded over. With age it turns into what is termed an apron. Not saying that is what it is, you may just be pregnant. :heeheehee

The prices are higher because of the conditions they have to meet the compliance.

My family only eats free range eggs... of course they are from our chickens and ducks.
Believe me they do taste better.
I am not sure they are better for you, but at least I know what they have been eating.
Just started harvesting my "extra" male ducks and will start on my surplus roosters after that.
And again, they do taste much different than store bought.
We do contract with a local farmer and buy about 1/2 of a beeve twice a year.
They are raised without steriods and minimal antibiotics (he tries for zero, but sometimes has to use them).
And the taste is totally different than store bought.
I would not say that it is better, because these are free range and grass fed.
Grain fed cattle do taste better, but they are not raised as "nicely" as these.
