Isn't bacon a processed meat? Maybe the difference between then and now is HOW the meats are processed?

I would not drink milk that was not pasteurized.

I've been drinking unpasteurized milk off and on since I was given my first glass. Come to think of it, my children were nursed. Yet, that milk was never pasteurized. :hmmm |
Re: Eat Fat, Bacon, Lard, Whole Milk!
when society was more agricultural, before the total industrialization of our society, food was clean.
At the beginning of industrialization, when sheer profit was the point, our food became contaminated. Food production needed to be regulated so the producers didn't kill us. |
Re: Eat Fat, Bacon, Lard, Whole Milk!
You have something here I would just not make a religion out of it. I have known people that were allergic to milk that when they quit drinking pasteurized milk they were not allergic any more. I think a lot of our foods today are so processed that there is no nutritional value and that is why we have so much diabetes. And people have weight problems.

Our bodies are the temple of the Spirit.
Obesity, overeating, lack of exercise are just as harmful as cigarettes. https://www.nhs.uk/news/lifestyle-an...ly-as-smoking/ |

I believe animal fats are extremely important to good health. Plus getting rid of VEGETABLE oils. Except for olive oil, and coconut oil, which one you can cook with and the other you can never cook with. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvKd..._channel=B.S.R. |
Re: Eat Fat, Bacon, Lard, Whole Milk!
You can't have real fried chicken unless its deep fried in PEANUT OIL! At least not here in the South.
Red meat and slightly burnt fat (seared on the edges) is good for you. God knew what he was doing. Abel had BBQ, and Cain had high fiber. Yeah, how'd that work out? Exactly. :) |

Re: Eat Fat, Bacon, Lard, Whole Milk!
There is a good health reason God prohibited eating pork, besides the fact that it is unclean.
every animal that God prohibited for our eating was to help us live a healthier life. I am not saying that eating pork is a sin, but what I am definitely saying is that you are hurting your health. Pork is BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD,BAD |

The wisest one (God) prohibited pig and he had very good reasons for doing so. You just do not understand the reasons. |

Also, I don't think the food laws are specifically health related, necessarily. Chickens are clean per the Bible, but if you've raised them you know they ain't pure as the driven snow compared to pigs. Plus, locusts are okay but don't practically all insects harbor tons of microscopic parasites that could be really really bad for you? I think the food laws have to do with something other than simple health. I mean, cow clean but horse unclean? As much as the idea of eating horse meat makes me shake my head, still I don't see horse being massively unhealthy - they eat the same diet as cows, pretty much. I've always wondered, though, why bees are unclean but bee poop (aka "honey") is allowed? |

We need to eat healthy amounts of what our bodies are made from: which means large amounts of protein from meat sources, particularly but not limited to, red meat, and other sources of HDL cholesterol (avocados, most nuts, dairy, eggs, cod liver oil, the two oils named above by EB, and etc.) After that, raw and fermented foods are great for the stomach and the digestive track. Throw in some seeds and greens, and you're good to go! Also, go organic!
