Mission to Russian churches.

Many here have asked about the work we are doing among the Russian speaking churches. Here is an update.

We are currently here in a central California city, getting ready to have a series of services with some of the Russian churches on the west coast. The Russian elder in Tulsa has given us the opportunity to minister to some new churches in Cali.

This is a great opportunity as we are going to, per their request, present Jesus name Baptism to them. Some of the churches in the Midwest have already begun rebaptizing in Jesus name and we are having faith that God is going to open up these churches as well.

Should be here a week or so, pray God will open the doors. Having lunch with the first pastor today, service tonight.

:happydance

Well, what a great first meeting! God moved in the service when the Elder I was with preached about Jesus and having a relationship with Him.

Of course this included a wonderful Scripture, Acts 2:38!!

Well received, looking forward to today's services.

The Elder preached two more services on Sunday and an English youth service on monday. Looks like 5 more services this week. Lord willing coming back in October for more.

These are churches that believe in HG with tongues. Just needing Jesus name baptism.

Some of the Russians make the American churches look liberal. As far as oneness, some in the Midwest have already began to embrace that.

Almost done with stuff here. I may be in CA in October. We should meet up for coffee... but CA is big and you’re going to be busy. Nevermind.

Maybe we’ll run into eachother at an airport. Years ago I was at FAT catching a flight to SLC .. and I ran into then Evangelist Sam Emory.

Re: Mission to Russian churches.

Elder Kelley, who was heading up the effort, passed away a year ago. We hosted his memorial service in the home church. He had been getting worse so we rented a place for him to live for about 8 months before he passed. Some of the Russian folks came to the service and they are still in communication with us.

We are preaching a conference on the West Coast next month are going to try to see some of them while we are there.

I asked one of their pastors last month how they are handling their services with the conflict in Ukraine... he said the Russian people sit on one side of the church and the Ukraine people sit on the other! I laughed 😅
