Covid-19 went through our church strong back in mid-2020. We were all exposed and thereafter sick the night I proposed to my now-wife at church. My father was very ill with it, and he was out of work for well over a month. His energy level never got back to where it was, and now that he's been stricken with two strokes, his energy is even lower.

In saying that, Covid-19 is a real illness. People have actually died from it, or so the medical reports say. I do think it's over-hyped, over-blown, and not as rapidly spreading as the news would have us believe. I have not nor will I take the vaccines. I've turned down different jobs that required the vaccines for employment.

Not a one, and therefore my personal experience cannot be used to prove, or disprove a pandemic. What medical reports?

Thank you for your prayers. But, actually the above has a lot to do with my question I asked you concerning herd immunity.

Yes, it does have a lot to do with a good healthy immune system. Therefore I asked you the question concerning herd immunity. The whole, "I'm not a doctor" defense is quickly dealt with "did you take biology in school?" Simply, we are taught in High School about immunity in biology. But, even if you were sleeping through that class, you as an adult wouldn't need to go through four years of medical school, to give me the simple answer concerning herd immunity.

Here is WebMD's definition.

"Herd immunity, or community immunity, is when a large part of the population of an area is immune to a specific disease. If enough people are resistant to the cause of a disease, such as a virus or bacteria, it has nowhere to go. While not every single individual may be immune, the group as a whole has protection."

We are over two years into the whole COVID hullabaloo, therefore just by basic herd immunity alone makes the odds of ME getting the virus even less. That's forgoing your heartfelt prayers for me not to get it. Which I covet by the way. Now, let's add a vaccine (with multiple boosters) into the mix. The reason for vaccines is to speed up herd immunity, so couple the vaccines with natural herd immunity and now my odds of getting this so called COVID flu bug is even more greatly reduced. This is all good news, for everyone. Even you Pepsi Cola Birthday Cake eaters. The bug has run its course, the bad news and evil tidings to people like me, is all but removed. We made it through the tribulation and are sitting happy on the other side of the red sea. Praise Jesus in His wonderful administration of giving His children the ability to think, and to process logic. What a wonderful King we have in Jesus that He does not cater to fear mongering, but caters to peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. :thumbsup

We don’t encourage vaccines. I personally feel the vaccinated are the spreaders.

I am just getting over Covid and my husband isn’t quite over it yet, but doing much better. It will get you, eventually. Just sayin’. We didn’t use masks or the vaccine. Went everywhere, didn’t get it for a looooong time, them BAM fell on us like a ton of bricks. Just sayin’. :D

I know a pastor won't say his name because he might not want everyone to know...however he did not get Covid during the time that so many had it and fell sick last week with Covid...I personally have not encouraged anyone to take or not take shots...It seems like a personal thing...

You most likely didn't get COVID now. Receiving a false positive for the virus is quite normal. As well as even false negatives for those who actually may of had it. You and the husband probably got the good old flu. Reasonably you and your husband could of even contracted the COVID earlier in the epidemic, even to where it didn't feel like much. You and your husband being around people with no precautions enabled you both to build immunity. So, logically this deep in the game, you both just have a flu. Herd Immunity through it's logical outcome has whittled you all to the bottom of the herd. Arguing that you and your husband have the real bonafide "real deal" red, white, and blue COVID is just buying into the herd narrative. Which sadly has little immunity these days.

Sister Alvear, you keep parroting the narrative. Whether or not you tell people to go get a vaccination is overturned by your constant doom saying.
Immediately you produce a list of all the people you know who have contracted the virus. Within the list are fatalities, so the personal "thing" gets swayed by the doom and gloom being laid out by a minister. Sister Alvear, did you take the COVID vaccine?

I am pretty sure I am not arguing.

I rarely get sick and rarely gets headaches. I had the flu when I was 19, but haven’t had it since that time. This stuff feels very different.

yes I took the vaccine because at was required here...but did not take the updates...they were not required...some could get by without taking it but those that went to certain places were required to take it....I personally did not want to take it...and glad things have changed here. At least for now....

I told my people to wait it out, and lo and behold the situation changed in the places that required them to be vaccinated. I wish you could of waited it out as well. I have people who drastically altered their entire lives to not take the shot. Some who aren't even Christians. It's sad that you didn't want it, but took it. On another note, eschatology plays a big part in Pentecostal ranks, pre tribbers don't count, and Post Tribbers should be ashamed after this whole COVID hullaballoo. Sadly, no. Saline was handed out amongst the poor and downtrodden. Saline was reserved for the celebrities, and politicians. The rank and file got the real deal.
