David Wasmundt....Please Pray
 

As many of you know David Wasmundt, author of "Neo-Phariseeism" is my uncle.
Wed he had a heart attack....Thursday was admitted.......Friday had Double Bypass....found two arteries 99% blocked.
He came through the surgery well.....now the recovery.

Please keep my family in prayer.

I first read about Bro. Wasmundt's surgery on the Christian Koinonia site yesterday. I've been praying for him.

I have three of his books:
Neo-Phariseeism
Pendulum Extremess
The Ultimate God Road
but I've only read the first one.

I didn't know him but heard of the family name when I was attending Bethel Tabernacle in Racine, WI in 1955/1956.

God graciously brought me through quadruple bypass surgery (95 percent blockage) in September 1995 and he can bring your uncle through also.

I know some people who were destroyed and washed up on the shores of spiritual shipwreck because of his books.

Not just leaving standards but completely walking away from God.

The book started a process of questioning and disillusionment that eroded away every foundation they had.

I pray for his healing, and also for his soul.

He has much to answer for.

apparently they never had ANY foundation if that was all it took to wash it away. Many times what some view as foundation is really just acting... trying to fit it

There is never anything wrong with questioning. You just have to wait for God's answer is all. Those who refused to wait are the ones who ended up in shipwreck. That is not at all DW's fault.

At any rate, this thread is for this man's healing.

Chaotic, I am praying for him also. As are many others from here on AFF. Don't let one sour apple spoil things for you. There are alot of wonderful, caring people here who will pray.

The request was made for prayer...and I am praying for him. Strange how hard we can become to those that differ with us. I am not calling him or anyone any name but in our Lord´s most terrible hours he prayed for those who brought on him the most pain...

Yes It caused people to think...and things were questioned that have been needed to be questioned for years.
I dont agree with all of the books...but I know the man.
If the book caused shipwreck...they were never anchored in anything by mans rules anyways.

Amen. I am amazed that some folks will take ANY opportunity including a prayer request to take potshots.

I am praying for David Wasmndt's healing and quick recovery from surgery.

Too bad that Pentecostals are so quick to stomp on those who fall. I've seen too much condemnation and too little restoration and mercy among us. Let God be the judge, and let us show mercy and love - lest we fall and do worse things.
I wonder how many Pentecostals are going to be left behind when He comes, because of their nasty - stinking attitudes.

David and Georgia were with us in Lincoln Illinois - a 'few' years ago (probably about 35-40 yrs).
