To the UPC crowd would you?

Would you have a problem with Dallas Holm in concert in your church that is UPC?

I personally would not if my church were UPC.

The Church he was in concert today is UPC.

Wish we could afford him. He would certainly bring some new guests to our church if he were here.

Considering this church/pastor, that's kind of a shock.

More are going charismatic. It is sad.

I hope you meant this tongue in cheek. No offense, but this is such a stupid term. I'm sure some people would put us in this category, and we are so far from Charismatic. We don't even relate to that term.

rgcraig 07-15-2007 09:38 PM

He grew up to be a very nice looking man!

Just not fair that men get better looking the older they get.........

It's so 70's.

deseret 07-15-2007 09:42 PM

I expect that. Because we don't follow the fads of this world we get labeled as old school and stuck in the past.

Scott Hutchinson 07-15-2007 09:51 PM

DH is holding a nice Fender guitar and a that's a cool looking tweed amp.
I wonder what kind of Acoustic guitar is he playing these days ?

I know you are having a fit over the Cubbies playing so good. Then not making up ground.

Man I love these Brewers....

What in the world does that mean Sherri...Tamels are not conservative at all!
My family and I attended there for 3 years.

The great thing about that is that you have understanding of your proper labels!:killinme

I have some labels for you, but if I expressed them I may get banned.

I went to a Dallas Holm concert once and it was absolutely free. They just asked for offerings

That is not fair. We do not all have a friend behind the scenes to bail us out. :)

Um, NLYP gets banned from here when he crosses the line, just like everyone else. Yes, one of the admins is his friend, that much is true. But he has still been banned from here for things he's said.

My family and I attended there for 3 years.

The odd thing is I don't and neither does anyone else remember you being there....

Ronzo 07-16-2007 07:59 AM

I know a UPC church that had Carmen come to perform there.

Malvaro 07-16-2007 08:07 AM

The Tamel family has built a great church there through the years.... and perhaps the finest example of a functional "small-groups" ministry in Pentecost....

NLYP, until you build a church to that size and impact a city like they have.... it would be best if you kept your criticisms to yourself so you don't embarrass yourself.... :D

Broken 07-16-2007 08:12 AM

It seems UPC is labelled here as to whether or not to have a group!

UPC is human as everyone else and a very fine organization to belong to!

It appears the UPC is the talk of the walk!

There is a variety of mnisters in the UPC -liberal and conservative...the main thing is the main thing - follow Jesus- !

broken, i literally know thousands of preachers in the upc and you are on target there are all kinds, it would be good if we could just keep the main thing the main thing, but instead to many times we criticize others instead of concentrating on reaching people for jesus, what a shame,i heard bro steve rogers preach last year, and he said the problem is that we spend more time trying to make the saints into sinners than making the lost, into saints, he was so right, dt

hey i would just like to say i feel sorry for your brewers, lol,dt:winkgrin

Malvaro 07-16-2007 08:38 AM

Brewers are going to be a nasty team next year if they can secure good pitchers for next year.... Sheets went down again, for how many years straight??? I wasted a 4th round pick on that bum last year....

DividedThigh 07-16-2007 08:41 AM

next year always next year, lol, :slaphappy

Malvaro 07-16-2007 08:46 AM

i'm a Yankees fan....

but that is the only WI team that I follow and would cheer for.... their lineup is young and hitting great (Weeks is slumping though).... they need to address the quality of their starting pitching and middle relief to even think about the playoffs next year....

DividedThigh 07-16-2007 08:52 AM

i would just like to say that i think it was a great idea for the parkway church to have dallas holm, go tamels, and the church is a thriving growing church, that is good, innovation leads to that, not being liberal, dt:choir
