i have a razor phone. i am with cingular. can i download a ringtone from my computer. the song i want is in "MY MUSIC" file. is there a way i can download it as my ringtone???? the song i want is not on the cingular website.

Which Razr and which version?

Do you have a memory card? Is the song a mp3?

I have a FireRazr new yesterday. Staples had 1 Gig cards for $20 so I will let you know how I fare.....

memory card??? i have a SIMS card. the song is on mp3. i have a motorola, V3.

Using same USB I use for my camera, My system found the phone as an external drive. I then dragged and dropped a photo in a skins folder in the /mobile folder.

Then using the phone set same photo as my wallpaper.

I have a v3M and I am not sure the difference. I know they wanted $34 for a 512 card and I got two for $43 at Staples. (wife has same phone too)

Can you email the file to your phone? That is how I got most of them on my Sprint phone.

I don't know the way cingular sets them up.

Use your phone to email yourself and you will then be able to reply and attach.

You may need to edit the file to be 128K (CD's are 360K)
and be less than 128K in size too.

the file is 466 bytes. is that too big?

I dunno I am not on cingular.

Here is some joy for you. I thought my contract ending would allow me to cancel Sprint. I get cool RAZRs for MrsB and me. Now Sprint said no, I have until the next billing cycle. They are losing 2% when other services are growing, they just gave 1000 people the heave ho and now they force me to extend for 2 weeks....

We use a Bluetooth Dongle such as the one here

You just put it in the USB and the connect to your cell phone via the bluetooth connection and move files back and forth at your leisure.

Awesome they have the song I want to download. :)

After using the phone for one day, I hated the RAZR . I swapped for an LG phone with BT. USCell has this one locked to upload ringtones. :ranting

The Razr did allow upload via a regular USB cable to the Memory card then tranfer from card to phone.
