I had the great honor of meeting.........

HeavenlyOne and Subdued, along with their delightful kids, last Thursday. We had lunch at Cabela's in Dundee. They are great people!! We had loads of fun!! I sincerely hope we can get together another time - soon :)

In the meantime, I thought maybe you all might enjoy seeing a few pictures taken that day.

Margies3 07-23-2007 08:39 PM

HeavenlyOne's son (I'm going to let these ladies decide for themselves whether they want their children's names on here or not. If they do, then they can tell you)

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...0070723004.jpg
HeavenlyOne's beautiful daughter.

HeavenlyOne 07-23-2007 08:58 PM

It's real clear who the holy woman is......LOL!

Great pics though. Awesome memories that I hope to have more of. I was an hour and a half later in leaving than I'd planned and didn't even want to leave then!

And it already seems like a long time ago and not just less than a week!

HeavenlyOne 07-23-2007 08:59 PM

Margie, it's ok to post their names, but I'll give you the spellings.

It's Zak and Becca.

Subby has one more daughter, and I thought I had a picture of her by herself. But I cannot seem to find it :(

I want to tell you - these kids were fantastic!!! They were polite. They were obedient. They were respectful. They were loads of fun!! They shared what they purchased (fudge and blue licorice mainly). We ate Cabela's where they could get some 'different' foods and they were game to do it! Good for them!! I love kids who are adventurous!! These two moms should be very, very proud!!!

LOL! I wonder if I coulda figured that part out on my own!? hehehe Actually, I was gonna spell Zak "Zack". So I guess I really would have been wrong, eh!

Hope your trip is going great and you're having lots and lots of fun. Get some rest, too, tho! You know - vacations can be exhausting!!!

I knew there had to be a reason why God brought you to this forum, brother!! Now I know - it's so you can correct my poor Spanish spelling. Thanks!!

Why! Thank you!! By outward appearances most wouldn't consider me the holy woman............................

Oh rats! You probably weren't speaking of me either. LOL!!! :killinme:killinme:killinme
I believe however that we ALL look holy!!!! We are all wholey committed to God - so we are all holy. After all, that's what it's all about, right?

Now you'll have to forgive me for getting all serious for a minute there. Let's get back to the fun, shall we? We can do serious another time :)

HeavenlyOne 07-23-2007 09:21 PM

Margie is being just too modest. She is a delightful woman and shared some things about her private life and her work for God. She is a great mother also and wonderful wife. I only wish I could have met her family also, but that will be for a later time.

I have to admit that she is a little different than I expected, and it was in a positive way! An absolute, beautiful person, and I'm glad I had the chance to meet her. It was certainly an honor.

commonsense 07-23-2007 09:41 PM

Great photos. Thanks for sharing.

Sherri 07-23-2007 09:44 PM

I love meeting forum people!!! Thanks for sharing all these pics.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! Everyone looks great! I'm so glad you all got to meet and have such a wonderful time! That's what life is all about -Friendship!

Margie, thank you for the very kind comments about my kids and me. You're too kind!

Here is a post I made earlier - not sure if you saw it:

I met & had lunch with Margie!!!!!

And I just want to publically tell everyone here on AFF that she is a very kind and sweet lady. She's very easy to talk to and is quite fun and personable. It was entirely my privlege to have met her.

Thanks for meeting with my kids and me, Margie! We all had a great time!

Oh yeah, H1 was there, too. She's pretty awesome as well!! :D

HO, that's very interesting! I'd be even more interested in hearing what it was you 'expected'???

Honestly, HO and Subby were both exactly what I expected. Part of that is because I had already seen pics of HO before I met her. Both of them are, in 'real life' exactly the same as what you see here on AFF. I had such a great time with them!!! I only wish we could spent another couple of hours visiting!!!

Well, thanks to Zak, we had a little more time to visit than what Joy was expecting. LOL

Seeing HO being stalked by that big game animal over her left shoulder (our right side viewing) is just too poetic, to symbolic.

While she is off at a watering hole or having a bit to eat with friends, she is unknowingly being survealed....presumably with a "score to settle":slaphappy

Great Pics!

And Becca is in SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much trouble!

That girl lets everyone but me get decent, normal pictures of her. Her goose is cooked now though. :D

The key is to keep your camera in your hands & pointed at her at all times, and take 100's of pics, until you get ONE good one... without her hands covering her face. That's what worked for me. :D

If I remember right, all I did was hold my camera up towards her and then say, "hey, Becca, look this way". LOL!!!

I say again tho, just so everybody hears it loud and clear, all 5 of the children were fantastic!!!

And I love Zak's sense of curiosity! He kind of 'wandered off' when we go to the aquarium area, thereby buying the rest of us some more precious moments together. Thank you, Zak!!

Normal...typical...and at times, MADDENING depending on the circumstances. Course, mention food and he'll come running from afar!:slaphappy

That's right! he was carrying those blue licorice, wasn't he! Plus we were inside of an aquarium. If LadyRev has trained him right (and I'm sure she has) then surely he knew enough to know that there was 'lunch' swimming all around him. All he had to do watch catch 'em, clean 'em, cook 'em and eat 'em :killinme:killinme:killinme

He wandered off at church several times, too. We found him striking up conversations with complete strangers. I think it's pretty cool that he makes friends so easily.

I saw him eyeing all those fishing poles around him. I also heard him talkin' a lot 'bout those huge catfish! Yep!! He had a nice meal on his mind, I'm sure. LOL
