Who Is To The Left and Right Of Me???

Had we all been placed on a platform, prepared to debate the issues currently at hand, in regards to lib and con leanings, I would place Brother Epley and Brother Ben and a few others to my right. I would place MOW, CC1 and a few others to my left. I would have good things to say about all of them both to my left and to my right.

My question...who is to the right and left of you? Do you have good things to say of them?

OP_Carl 07-24-2007 09:15 AM

Good luck with this one, too. Everybody thinks themselves to be in the center, to be Goldilocks' "just right."

Also, "knowing" people on the internet is seeing through a glass darkly. You only get a dim perception of what they truly are.

And, to answer your question, if all of us were arranging ourselves on a stage in order of our conservative and liberal leanings, I would be the guy on the catwalk overhead with a huge sack of water balloons. :D

Hopefully I'm placed at the feet of Jesus. If I please Him then what does it matter ,if others view me as right or left ? I'm not running for office or anything.

RevDWW 07-24-2007 11:55 AM

If a thousand shall fall at my side and ten thousand at my righthand where does that put me............:heeheehee

ChTatum 07-24-2007 11:58 AM

I be on yo left, boss, but Mich thinks I be leaning mo right than I show.....

AGAPE 07-24-2007 12:03 PM

I'm to the right of Elder Epley on somethings and to the left on others...

Overall I'm to the right of most posters on this brd...

Especially that ULTRA liberal FERD ;>)

RandyWayne 07-24-2007 12:59 PM

Ok..... To break it down:

Politically Economics: Probably to the right of MOST people on this board at to the FAR right of most of the American public in general

Politically Socially: I'm right in the middle as far as this board goes and part of the "religious far-right" according to the media

Religious doctrine: I would probably considered to be a moderate by SOME, and a radical leftist by many. I would hope that Jesus would say I am "right".

I don't think I really know enough of your beliefs to say whether I stand on your left or right.

I would imagine that sometimes I stand on one side and other times I stand on the other side.

But, quite often, I stand behind you

Be blessed Brother.

I want my armour-bearers on either side of me regardless of their label.:sos

I hate saying this about anything....but I guess I would be to the LEFT, even though I feel I am a very conservative person over all, according to my old church I would be very liberal...I think I am well balanced and normal...:sshhh but don't tell anyone!

:choir...Brother Strange you have been so kind to me and I have great respect for you and I would be happy to have you as my pastor, as well as the other men you have listed that would be to your left....

Well, anyone that is not kind to you needs a check up from the neck up. You have always shown the fine, sterling character of an exemplary Christian of the best order. If I had a houseful of Christians as you, I would have the finest church in America.

Honestly, I've been in churches that I would be considered a wild eyed liberal and would not be allowed near the platform. I've been in other churches that thought that I was a wild eyed super holiness nut. A more apt term might be just a wild eyed nut...period.

In it all, I've learned not to try to be a man pleaser. I will be me without any pretenses. If the church that I attend (and I have) preach against christmas trees, I will have a tree each year. If they want me to leave, I will be happy to do so. But, if another church considers me too conservative for their congregation, making them unconfortable, I will be happy to leave. But, most of the time, I've been in Goldilocks churches...not too hot and not too cold...hahaha..... :D

There are a lot on here that are both to the left of me and a lot on here that are to the right of me too. I count them all as my brothers and sister, all of whom I fully expect to see in heaven. In fact, some of them may get there before me and have a closer seat to the throne too. But meanwhile, I will do my best, trusting in and leaning on the Lord. I know that you will too.

I learn more forward than anything else, but that is because I have this big old belly! It gets everywhere I go before I do! :D

stmatthew 07-25-2007 06:51 PM

The question is not who is to the right of me, or the left of me. The question is "How much I have to look down to see all of you"

hehehehe!!!

They better hope their head is not on MY pillow!! I share almost everything and do it very willingly. But NEVER my pillow!! I won't even share that with Walt! (that's always been a phobia of mine)

(you'll notice that my head is on HIS pillow - not the other way around. LOL)

LOL....

Yes, yes, now I see.

So you will share his but he can't share yours? Aha!

The ol' "What's mine is mine and what's yours is mine too" addage here. I see. :D Kind of reminds me of my Marie.
