How do you like your eggs?

How do you like your eggs? For me it depends on which meal. If I am eating breakfast, then I like them scrambled or boiled. If I am eating a fried egg sandwich, then I want the yolk completely cooked. If I am eating eggs on top of white rice, I like them fried with the yolk soft and runny. How about you?

PoorWiddleMe 07-29-2007 03:37 PM

Scrambled or hard boiled. Never fried.

RandyWayne 07-29-2007 03:38 PM

Shaken, no stirred.

Me too, exactly!

Subdued 07-29-2007 03:54 PM

Fried, over-easy.

tamor 07-29-2007 04:00 PM

Scrambled - done. I can't stand them runny!

"Ahhh yesh...."

Rhoni 07-29-2007 04:14 PM

fried in butter, over-hard!

retsambeW 07-29-2007 04:17 PM

Scrambled, with cheese and bacon bits mixed in, seasoned with garlic salt and pepper.

Or, over-medium for a more traditional setting.

They hate it though, when we are low on english muffins, which I like crispy with butter, and try to serve with eggs. Here is a quote:

"No, this is MY english muffin. You kids get toast."

:D

I have never been big on english muffins at all until recently. My hubby likes them and I have been eating them occasionally because they're here and actually like them.

Over easy, with unbuttered toast and a couple of slices of bacon.

Truly Blessed 07-29-2007 08:11 PM

I love egg omelets myself. My favorite and the one my family likes for me to cook for them is eggs, red peppers, broccoli florets, medium salsa, and cheese. It's delicious!

If eating just an egg I prefer, fried over easy.

Barb 07-29-2007 08:13 PM

Scrambled w/cheese or over easy. I also love omelettes with sausage, cheese, onion, mushroom and tomato...mmmmgood!!

I love breakfast...it's my favorite meal I think.

Oh, and I don't do boiled unless they are diced in salad...can't stand deviled eggs or cold egg salad. :nah

Omelets are good. I haven't had one in a long time though.

Me too!! Scrambled only!! WELL done!! (I like them a little brown, in fact)

And I will NOT eat an egg from the grocery store unless I have no other choice. Those are just plain blah! My friend raises chickens so we get eggs from her all the time. Mmmmmmmmmmmm

I will eat an egg hardboiled. But only the yolk. My sister always eats my whites and I eat her yolks. And then you dip that yolk in salt and it's pretty good stuff.

First they have to be Eggland or farm raised or I won't eat them. I'm a spoiled brat and it doesn't bother me in the least. :D

I don't care for scrambled eggs. I think I used to like them with Ketchup when I was a little girl. :D

Hard boiled is fine, but they are soooo dry!

I like them cooked - hard or soft- in an iron skillet with a tab bit of butter. No salt or pepper and with oatmeal or a banana.

I really like to saute some purple onion, 4-6 fresh sliced jalapeños, and red bell pepper in a little Olive Oil. Add a couple of eggs to that topped with a slice of Swiss cheese and wrapped in a corn tortilla - no salt or pepper. I might add that I have to set a glass of very cold water next to my plate because it burns your mouth off and I love it hot!!!!

My husband uses bacon and bacon is bad!!!! :thwak Oops! Sorry, baby! :kiss He's also a weenie and can't eat the jalapeños? :heeheehee

Scott Hutchinson 07-29-2007 09:46 PM

I love them sunny side up and covered in Tabasco sauce with Tony Chachere sprinkled on top. Or my wife makes me one of her omelets with jalapeños, and turkey sausage, green and red peppers, chives and I top it off with ketchup and Dave's Insanity hot sauce.

Brother Scott,
Just keep eating jalapenos until you correct that! lol

Someone told me to stop drinking milk if you feel lactose intolerant. I have always loved milk and just kept drinking it until the problem stopped.

I love milk!!! I buy organic.

Big difference and they are high in omega 3s.

Scott Hutchinson 07-29-2007 10:11 PM

I love jalapenos ,but I've given them up as my stomach suffers when I indulge in such.

I'd die if I couldn't eat them! When they hit that iron skillet the fumes will make you cough! lol! I always have jalapeno plants in the flower garden and by the back door. Can't live without them. I'm like my father in that respect. :D

commonsense 07-29-2007 10:15 PM

I'm in favor of a good omelet, but mine don't flip very well. Of course you add cheese, and green pepper, a little onion.......

Actually if I'm eating out, breakfast is one of my favorite meals, and I always get my eggs poached.

Scott Hutchinson 07-29-2007 10:16 PM

My father in law ,grew some peppers in his garden, I got brave a picked one and bit into it ,and boy I ran to the bathroom.

I love hot sauce and hot pepper. My daughters and I love Tabasco (the girls love the green and I the traditional red) and Tony Chachere. Every time I have a preacher stay with us I have them try the Tony's and I buy them their own can. I also will have them try one of my hottest sauces, and if I know the Brother or Sister isn't use to hot sauce I won't ask them to try it out. We had young newlyweds who are missionaries over our house for dinner and the husband tried some of my hottest sauce, then who gave some to his new bride, and it didn't sit well with her. I was pretty sad about that, and from that day onward I will never let someone try hot sauce if they’re not use to hot chilies. :)
