What Makes You Dance?
What are the things in your life that you really enjoy and make you happy!
Here's mine (not in any particular order): 1. A powerful move of God 2. Playing the piano 3. Playing with grandchildren 4. Being with family 5. Playing golf 6. Selling a piano 7. Going on vacation 8. Being with friends 9. Going to Titans games 10. Going to church 11. Watching my children and grandchildren live for God |
No certain order for me either:
The beach Feeling close to God Giving to my children Staying in touch with friends Taking a trip somewhere new Someone looking in my eyes while we talk Dressing up and being with someone I enjoy being with Eating out with a group of fun people A few things I can't mention |
1. Holy Unction
2. Good News 3. Sinner receiving Jesus 4. Autumn leaves all around, smell of bratwurst in the air, and high school football. 5. My wife's arms around me. 6. When I beat my twin 14 year olds in wiffle ball. |
The Greatness of God.
The love of my family A hard rain on a warm day [Which by the way happended yesterday. My wife called me from the kitchen to notice how hard it was rainging. I told her "Come on lets go out and soak up some rain....Man what a wonderful feel'n] Just being alive.......... Should we dance in worship if we don't feel an unction? |
1) Finding out something you said to someone (thinking it was just bouncing off at the time) actually made a difference in their lives and thought patterns months and years later.
2) Finding out a relative was baptized a couple nights before (called the pastor and asked to be baptized that Tuesday night so no one else would know until after the fact). 3) Seeing a bunch of trailer park kids coming to church. Granted many don't stay simply because of the pure pressure of the environment they live in, but a handful have, and the ones I would have leasts suspected in the beginning! 4) I LOVE that drive home on that last day of work or school looking forward to a week or two off! And I will DANCE when..... A) We close on our new home. B) When our moving caravan pulls out of our driveway to leave this Godforsaken state on our way to our new home in AZ (which he had purchased already.... see point A.) C) When I hear New York, New York -start doing the foxtrot! |

Ooooooohhhhh yes! Goodbye to the mosquitoes (and not the rock group as featured on Gilligan's Island) but the flying, biting kind. Goodbye to our large extended families and the politics involved in keeping everyone happy. Goodbye to the horrible cold (with very little snow) winters. And Goodbye to the property taxes! Jim Doyle, I barely knew ye.
Arizona is the place to be! Desert living is the life for me! Sand spreading out so far and wide! Take Jim Doyle, just give me that mountainside! |
If a friend of mine were here he'd answer finally beating me in chess after like 100 losses....no lie...he got up and danced. Oh well. I guess I can't blame him. Im sure Dan Alicea gets up and dances everytime he erroneously thinks he beat me at some petty issue :tricycle

1. Prayer, especially ladies prayer meetings.
2. When God shows you exactly what a verse is saying in the Bible. 3. Music - especially worship music. 4. Dreams from God. 5. When my husband and I go out to eat by ourselves or when we just sit and talk. Especially when he is serious, which doesn't happen very often. 6. Presents! 7. Company 8. Shopping and eating out alone. I don't have to hurry. :D 9. Places to hide the receipts. J/K!!!!! :killinme |

Anyway, I made up my mind that at the last Sherwin Williams store I went to that if they didn't have mis-tints, I would swallow hard and just pay the $100 bucks for the 5 gallons. This particular store had just put 4-5 gallon containers in their mis-tints from an apartment complex that didn't pick it up. The colors were perfect, almost white. I bought them all for $1 a gallon and this paint was almost 100 bucks for 5 gallons with my discount. :party :happydance :shockamoo |

I have everything from classical to R&B to pop to Buble' (that style) Sarah MacLachlan (celtic pop & folk, etc), John Denver, Tamas Wells, Nalick, Furtado, Macie Gray, a lot of 70s/80s music, Sarah Brightman, etc. etc. -- most all that is downloaded on my harddrive) -- all the way to IBC choir, Clint Brown, Hillsong, and on and on. Quando Quando Quando by Buble'/Furtado is wonderful. Makes me want to dance. :) |
