when does "salvation" occur?

when does "salvation" occur?
  1. at repentance/sinner's prayer of faith
  2. at water baptism in jesus name
  3. at spirit baptism, speaking w/tongues
  4. enduring to the end

Mmmmmmm...... I believe at the moment that you ask God for forgiveness and salvation. If, after such a prayer, you were to drop over dead or have something happen to kill you, you would be in good hands. :)

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:10)

SOUNDS LIKE NUMBER ONE IS THE WINNER!!!!!

I am not sure about this enduring to the end stuff. If that is truly the case no one could ever really testify that, "I am saved" I am only trying, for that matter the same could be said about being sanctified and holy too.

We can never BE we can only keep trying

Mt 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Kinda blows that once saved always saved doctrine right out of the water, huh?

I wasn't talking about once saved, always saved. I am talking about David saying "Restore unto me the joy of my salvation." He didn't say, "Restore unto me the joy of my effort toward salvation."

It never occurs from the way some people think. Totally contrary to scripture. What good is salvation if we don't know that we're saved until we're on the other side of the pearly gates?

I can't imagine living a victorious Christian life with that dark cloud hanging over my head, yet many many do. I had a lady tell me that she hoped that if she were ever in a life and death situation she would have a time or a chance to repent before she died to make sure she made it.

Wow

Sorry, Bro. I wasn't trying to say you believe in the once saved always saved lie. It's just what I thought of when the "endureth" scripture came to mind. Sorry 'bout the confusion. I forget people can't read my mind and don't always know why I am responding to their posts. :)
