Please pray mom had a stroke
My mother sister Elsie Lake had a stroke Sunday night. She is in the hospital with paralysis of the left side of her body.

Praying... I know that if it be his will, God is able to bring her through this with no evidence of ever having a stroke. I have seen this happen twice very recently... it has really built my faith.

Lord, we ask that you touch and heal this dear lady. Your promises are true and they are new every morning. We put our confidence and trust in you at this difficult time. Hold this brother in your loving arms and give him the strength that he will need for today. Meet tomorrow's needs tomorrow.

Bro. Lake, how old is your mom? I don't want to sound pessimistic or non-believing. But sometimes the healing that God chooses for our loved ones is the ultimate healing - giving them a new body. That is very hard for those of us left here to mourn, but we can be thankful that God does not leave us comfortless. We serve the great Comforter Himself. I know that you are already leaning on Him for strength even now.
Get some rest. Be assured that there are many of us out here who are holding you and your dear Mom up to the Lord in prayer. |

The doctors said that mom will live the rest of her life in a place that can care for the paralyzed. I know that we have a God that is able to change this situation. They will determine tomorrow if she will need a feeding tube as the stroke has affected her ability to swallow.
Thankfully her mind is still sharp but speech is difficult. Thank you for you continued prayers. Br. Lake |
