I collect Baseball Memorbilia. It is items from 1964 and on. I have many items signed by Aaron, Ted WIlliams, Mays, Bench, Rose, Foster etc.

It brings me back to my Dad and his love of Baseball.

Both he and I loved the stats and math attached to the game...

LadyChocolate 02-26-2007 09:48 PM

Chocolate! Lots of chocolate!

Seriously:

I enjoy cooking gourmet meals for my family! I love to try new recipes and they enjoy it too!!!
I enjoy decorating everything from my walls to cakes! Too much fun!

Organizing isn't a great thrill of mine but I do make a hobby of emptying out all the cabinets and drawers periodically just to re organize them. Just did this tonight with my pots and pans.

I love to sing, play, and write music. This is my escape. A time when I am alone with God and just really pour my heart out.

Reading is a definate. Mostly the Bible, and then I enjoy reading Francine Rivers, my husband surprisingly likes some of her stuff. I also enjoy reading Clive Cussler. He's an incredible writer.
I've also had a few Java Script and Linux books thrown in my lap. Browsed through them... I'd like to get into graphics and/or web design. I'd move ahead of my husband then! lol

Some of the links on your web publishing site don't work. Portfolios and when you get to the printing website the link going back to the web publishing site just points to the print site..

BTW did you design and code the entire site yourself?

1. Reading (fiction)
2. Watercolor painting
3. Making earrings to sell
4. Making DVD's for our local funeral home (side job)
5. Playing online and reading AFF
6. Doing Power Point for church
7. Genealogy
8. Crocheting (some)

You asked "Why?" Most of what I do I just do because I am creative and need to express myself. Reading and Genealogy I do because I love history. And #5 I do just because I am addicted - just like most of the rest of you :)

BTW, Yesterday I golfed with Scott Hamilton. He is the guy who won a medal in ice skating at the olympics. His family moved to the Nashville area about a year ago. Very nice guy, and a pretty good golfer! :)

Digging4Truth 02-28-2007 08:40 AM

Gardening & farming.

I don't have a very large thing going yet. I had 2 small gardens last year. I am wanting to have a bigger on this year but I am not sure if we will be living here or not.

I would also like to raise sheep.

I would like to have some land and raise some sheep and a garden.

The reason... I don't care so much for all of the various contamination scenarios that we are made subject to every few months.

I would love to live mostly on food that I raised myself. I had considered raising cattle but I decided that if I raised sheep then I could butcher them by myself but I would have to have a cow butchered which costs a fair amount of money per pound.

You would still save money by having your own cow butchered but you would lose a lot of your savings that way though.

High Power Rocketry.

Why? Because it is a rush to build a really big rocket and send it skyward in a concert of smoke, flames and roar. I don't do it much any more because of the expense and the toll it takes on church obligations, but...

Golf, because it's something that Mrs. Pianoman and I do together! :) We enjoy our four hours of nature and quiet to talk about everything going on in our lives.

In fact....on Mother's Day I promised her I would stay away from AFF and be at her beckoning call to do or go anywhere she pleased for the day. She chose to play golf! God, I love that woman! :D

You ever play any of the courses at horseshoe bay in TX? I am surrounded by golfers. My brother is a former course pro. My brothers-in-law are avid golfers. Everytime I mention that I might like to try it my brother talks me out of it.

I've never played golf in Texas. You need to take golf lessons BEFORE you go out on the course to play. That way you won't get discouraged and quit!

tamor 05-14-2007 07:28 PM

Riding the motorcycle with my hubby! It is something that we can do and enjoy together. I love going out on a Saturday and cruising for several hours, stopping to rest and talk and enjoy the day - and I love little short rides where we hop on the bike and ride 20-30 miles, stop and eat and ride home - and I love to take it to east Tennessee and ride in the Smoky Mountains. Did I mention that I really enjoy our bike? ;)

Pianoman,

I shot a 75 on Saturday... my USGA handicap indes is now down to 4.7 on my home course... I am going to have to do something about that... too much practicing is going to make it impossible for me to win any of the stroke play tournaments I enter! What is a guy supposed to do? Cheat?
