Church where Webby goes...

Not sure if this is the right part of the forum for this. I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong area.

Please check out www.firstupcgreenfield.com.

I had help on this one, Bro. John A. did a tremendous job, could not have done it without him.

Scott Hutchinson 08-11-2007 07:56 PM

I could not get the link to work.Perhaps the word greenfield is supposed to be in the URL.Hey I am 40ish and I use reading glasses too.

The other assistant is our steel player I mentioned in our guitar thread.

Scott Hutchinson 08-11-2007 08:09 PM

A preaching steel man ,I like that.
Do yall need a rhythmn guitar man ?

The pickup is always helpful, but not neccessary. We would mic your guitar...all instruments are run through the soundboard, including the drums and they are not electric!

Scott Hutchinson 08-11-2007 08:20 PM

That would be fine with me ,as the pickup is a magenetic soundhole Seymour Duncan pickup which is ok , but not for loud volume.

retsambeW 08-11-2007 08:24 PM

Scott,

As to cd's, do you mean cd's of the band? No, we have never recorded a project together, but we should. I have an instrumental project coming up, and the steel player will be on it. As good as pastor is on piano, the fella that owns the studio is better, and he will be handling the keys. I will be playing guitar and bass on the project.

Now, if you mean preaching cd's, yes they are available for sale, however, I do not have them catalogged on the web yet.

Back to the piano player, Old Paths, Bro. Epley, and Elder Groce have been to the church where he goes in the area, and can confirm, I am certain, he is an awesome piano player.

Scott Hutchinson 08-11-2007 08:33 PM

I would like to hear the preaching cds ,but I had hoped yall had a music project out ,but let me know when your project comes out.

Several months yet, unless about $1500.00 more than what I have all ready raised drops out of the sky. The studio owner needs a couple of guitars for certain projects, and I have the two he is currently drooling, er I mean looking over. :D We gonna do some horse trading.

I wouldn't, but our steel player has two Telecasters and is planning on getting rid of one. I am seriously thinking about acquiring it.

Thank you, and while I would love to take all of the credit, I could not have done it without Bro. John.

Well, I bet you come to Jackson to eat out pretty often then, or to shop. Jackson's a nice size place; we love it here!

Indeed! :D

Our church is easily seen from 45, across the tracks from Sonic! If you are coming north, we will be on the right.

Pastor took us to Olive Garden at The Columns the other night while we were in town on biz.

tamor 08-11-2007 08:52 PM

I didn't even think about it at the time, but did you go to campmeeting?

I could not come Friday. However, my wife was there. She grew up with one of the TCM reps that was there and wanted to have some fellowship time with her. They went to the Red Robin afterwards. From what I hear, it is a little pricey for me.

I haven't been there yet but I remember Sherri posting about it when they first opened. I think she liked the food there.

I was a mystery shopper and one client was Steak and Shake.... I forever lamented there were none in Nevada while I lived there. I almost took a shop in another state to simply get free food.

I've always wondered about being a mystery shopper/diner. So it really is legit? How do you get hooked up for that?

Sheila used to do that when she lived in Jackson and got to do O'Charleys and some of the places like that. You pay for your meal but then you get reimbursed so it's like getting to eat for free.

Ok, so is it legitimate and legal? I'm assuming that it is if BOOM did it. Sorry, that sounded like a slam on Sheila.:sshhh

Nah, I've read up on it. There are websites that can hook you up. I think you pay an entry fee and then they email you places in your area that you can shop or dine if you're interested.

seguidordejesus 08-11-2007 09:36 PM

I've done it, too, places like Chili's, etc. No problems. I even did some Bank of America shops, but they didn't pay much. I did three in one day once, all on the way to see my girlfriend (now wife)...paid for my gas LOL

seguidordejesus 08-11-2007 09:38 PM

I meant to add, when I did Chili's, I actually sent a letter to the manager of the restaurant afterwards complimenting him on the service, and he sent me a $10 gift certificate and came to talk to me next time I ate there...of course that meant that I couldn't do any more shops there ;)
