Sister Alvear 08-19-2007 05:45 PM

I am so tired...

Was in almost 6 and a half hours of service only stopping for about 20 minutes or so.. We started at 2 and went till 4:30 or so and started back up at 5 and went till 8:30 our time. Brother Alvear ordained over 75 preachers today!
Now the boys are making the rounds taking people home in different villages so that will take them at least another 2 hours.
If I have the strength I will put some pictures on the thread later tonight if not tomorrow is a brand new day to do it...
Blessings to all.

I'm so tired too and without even 1/4 of the reason you have to feel that way.

Thank God for new days. I pray God's richest favour and blessing on you Sis and many more souls!

Dearest Sis. Alvear,

May our Wonderful Lord and Friend, JESUS, renew your strength

and also renew your mind. Jesus told His disciples to come apart

and rest awhile. Jesus knew, as humans, that if they did not rest

awhile, they would come apart, mentally, physically, emotionally and

also in time spiritually. We must rest in the Holy Ghost.

Blessings to you and Bro. Alvear and your family. And the workers

there for the cause of Christ, in Jesus Name!

Sis. Felicity,

May you also rest in the Holy Ghost and be renewed in body, spirit

and mind, in Jesus Name. Yes, thank God for each night He gives us

to be refreshed, and a new day to live and serve Him! He is Wonderful!

Blessings,

Thanks my friends...stopped and got a good bath and feel some better...Long days are hard on old motors!

Sister Alvear 08-19-2007 08:46 PM

He ordained some in the first service and some in the second service.

LadyCoonskinner 08-19-2007 08:50 PM

Sister Alvear, that is absolutely wonderful. I'm so thankful for folks like you who have a burden and follow it through. I pray God's many many and richest blessings on you and yours.

Sis. Alvear, I was looking at your pictures, do you ordain women also. If you do, must they be married or can they be single?

Sister Alvear 08-19-2007 09:08 PM

I am not an ordained minister but my husband will ordain women if he feels they are called. Most of our women are deaconess and missionaries although we do have a couple ladies that are pastors but not in this area.
Brother Alvear and I have always worked very close in the ministry. We are workers together with Him that called. I was a missionary when we met and had churches and he was a pastor of several churches in his brother´s work.

We have 2 national lady missionaries that work with us up here both their husbands are pastors. We won them from trinity churches. Both sisters are very sweet and they were in the service today and Brother Alvear confirmed their call.
As a missionary I guess I have done it all...Married, buried, delivered babies, baptized, conducted services and whatever was needed at the moment!

Thanks for answering. I was just curious.

Like I said earlier, you are an awesome lady and I pray for anointing and strength for you and yours.

I personally believe different from most...I believe that Acts 8 teaches us that men and women went everywhere preaching the gospel but at the same time I respect the American Church setup but do not believe it is the early church setup. But that is just me...

I think that's a good way to look at it. I don't want to be a pastor, but I feel I have a calling on my life to be fulfilled and I must answer it. I believe we all have a calling to fulfill and to some it means pulpit ministry to others it is a ministry to serve.

I am starting a program with the youth called Sharing Jesus. I am hoping we will be able to share Him with lots of people. Am trying to get new (youth ) converts to help me...and really it will also help them.

Sister Alvear 08-19-2007 09:34 PM

Lady Coon Skinner You need to come visit us in Brazil sometime.

Can you elaborate on what this is?

We are in the beginning stages of trying to re-vamp our youth group to get them more involved in soul winning. They are wanting and asking how to do bible studies and such, just tonight they were asking if I could sit down and teach them what to do and how to do it.

Thanks. I won't be home until late, going to pick up my hubby from the airport, but I will be looking for this.

Blessing on you and yours.

I DID rest. Soon as I wrote that earlier post, I went to bed and slept for about an hour and a half. I rarely sleep during the day but I needed it.

Thanks Sis!
