You are definitely climbing my respect ladder. Any woman that plays golf, especially with her husband, gets a "move ahead 3 spaces" card!:killinme

Congratulations. I have eagled numerous par 4s but I have never yet made a hole in one!

I always say: "You either grow together, or grow apart."

Some sacrifices to keep a marriage strong are very much worth it...golf is just one of those crosses I will willingly bear. :winkgrin

My husband was very proud of me! He bragged to everyone! :killinme I just take it with a grain of salt...after all, it was just pure dumb luck that it landed there! :toofunny

Nice job on your own golf talent! That's impressive! :thumbsup

Why thank you... :)

Just stay after it and you will continue to improve and before you know it you will be addicted just like I am and like Pianoman is. I am hoping to get out on the course with PM and let him school me. :)

I would love to learn to play!--Good for you girl.

Maybe one day soon Keith will be able to slow down long enough to teach you!

It is a great family activity... It guarantees you will spend at least 4 uninterrupted hours together.... whether you enjoy it or not! :):killinme

Congrats, The Mrs!! :yahoo

About a month ago, Mrs. Pianoman missed a hole in one by two inches on a 135 yard par 3!!

I have never been that close! :chirp

BrotherEastman 08-20-2007 06:35 PM

Anyone who plays golf is going to that hot place. LOL! j/k

HeavenlyOne 08-20-2007 06:59 PM

Golf.....how boring.

Did you know MNF is on right now? Bears and Colts are playing!

LaVonne 08-20-2007 08:38 PM

Congrats The Mrs.!

Maybe you'll run into our old (not as in age) neighbor lady who golfs too!

One of the hardest things for me to learn has been this:

"You can take the girl out of baseball, but you can't take baseball out of the girl."

:toofunny

I've picked up a few pointers and tips from others wanting to help me with my swing. So each time I head out to the course, I hear all these different things running through my head...bend your knees, keep all your weight on you right leg, line up your feet, don't straighten out, keep your eyes on the ball, don't look up too soon, go ahead and HIT the ground so you won't top the ball, and on, and on, and on.... :wacko

I have learned that even with all that going on, the best drives I have hit were when I was totally relaxed, and didn't care about all that stuff. :D

NICE!!! The women must have 'the touch'!!! :thumbsup

(I don't think my husband has been that close before either!) :heeheehee

He DID express to me how upset he would be if I get a hole-in-one BEFORE him though... :toofunny

You'll have to PM me her name.

On second thought, it probably wouldn't matter. Hubby is the social butterfly on the course. He knows just about everybody...ME? I can't even remember the Golf Pro's name. I keep calling him Bob instead of Bill. I think I've irritated him with that one too many times. :oops

It's really not my fault!

When hubby was learning to play, he took lessons from Bob, the Golf Pro at a different course. So for years I always heard "Bob this, and Bob that."

I can't help it if that's the only name that comes to mind when I hear 'Golf Pro'!

Do you know Bill? Can you imagine the look on his face after doing this to him several times??? The first time, he took it with grace and a grain of salt. The second time, he was quick to correct me. The third time, he looked VERY annoyed, and I'm sure he wrote me off right then and there. :uhoh
