Going to Birmingham, AL
My wife and I have the opportunity to get away for the weekend to Birmingham. We have plans for the evenings already, but wanted to know if anyone knows some good places to visit during the day Saturday.
CC1, you would have been proud of me! I got my $129 Sheraton rooms for $52 on Priceline. That is the first time I have used Priceline, so I am well pleased. |
Check out Dreamland Bar-B-Q.
|
Will be there in two weeks preaching a District Meeting. Kind of anxious for that one!
|
Be sure and visit "the Iron Man of Birmingham".
We found it very interesting. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/ALBIRvulcan.html |
You could come a couple of hundred miles farther south and visit us.......................
Here is a big attraction in B-Ham............... Vulcan Park |

for fun - if you like science the McWayne Center downtown is neat. The Birmigham Zoo is nice as well although I am not sure how much the animals will be moving around in this heat.
Jim N' Nicks is on the strip in Inverness, if you like Mexican, Superior Grill is awesome, white coat waiters, very fancy. As others have posted, Vulcan is a must see |
