I am banning myself
I don't believe I have been doing things well, not just here, but nonetheless, I have been snapping too much at folks, and I have been on here too much--when I have too much other stuff to be doing.
I am putting myself on a ban until Friday. The reason for the thread is not because I think you will desperately miss me--but for accountability. If you see me posting on here before Friday--not just lurking--but posting--I want you to blast me good for breaking my word. That will help me stay off. Thanks! God bless! |

We will accept your wisdom and be with you in your decision. See you when your self imposed ban is complete. |
I permanently banned myself from three sites before. It really works good when you do it before you know the admins will. LOL

As usual I miss all of the excitement. Where and when did the bad hehaviour exhibit itself? I have not seen anything but nice posts from BP on AFF lately.
In any case have a good break BP and we will see you on Friday. Just think, if you were a REAL conservative you wouldn't have this angst as you would NEVER be on the internet. LOL!!! |

Well we WILL miss you nevertheless. However I personally think it's good to take vacations from certain things, forums, the internet, the job and spend them in other areas that might be best used. I often take breaks from certain threads or dialoging with certain individuals that I apparently am at odds with just to stop the flow of words and let the growing heat subside. However I find it hard to leave the forum entirely as an admin, but sometimes as an admin it's better to just not engage in too many discussions for a while and just read. |

It is generally used when we feel a man merits the title, and it has little to do with age. Those of us who know him consider him in that light. |
Yawn.

1. Is he a ruler of a council? 2. Is he a secular ruler of any sort? 3. Does he preside over an assembly? 4. Does he sit around the throne of God? |

... it's a note also to the sacramentalist baptismal regenerationists. |
Elder Prince does indeed preside over an assembly.

"elder", "Yeshua", all these terms. I know what they mean. Why cannot we get down to earth? lol

Paul wasn't Elder Paul? Peter wasn't Elder Peter? Apollos wasn't Elder Apollos? You may be on to something Elder Alicea. |
Speaking as both an admin and a user, let's be careful NOT to direct any post at BP or about him that would be a negative commentary about him. He did not call himself an elder and this thread he started was strictly to let others know why he would be gone for a while.
Im not saying anyone is doing this but the direction it is going I can see this possibly happening. Thanks |

Speaking of the title "Elder", I wonder why "Brother" isn't good enough any longer? Could it be that "Brother" implies equality while "Elder" implies superiority? |

... post awhile longer and perhaps I'll consider you an elder. :poloroid |
