Will you leave Tampa/Florida or just go "play"?

No playing for us. We're headed home Friday.

LadyCoonskinner 09-04-2007 09:22 PM

We fly in on Monday Sept 24 and leave on Monday Oct 1.

I have an aunt who lives in Ft. Lauderdale and we are thinking about going to see here for a couple of days. She owns a house in the Keys, so she said she'd take us there. We're thinking about it, not quite sure what we're doing yet.

Hoovie 09-04-2007 10:17 PM

LC, my wife will be there.

Of course, you know already that we're going to be there because we talked about it. What you may not know is that we're going to spend some quality time together somehow... we're ready to 'get away' and relax with the Coonskinner family!

I nominated deacon blues after his great reporting success for Youth Congress. I don't think we ever heard him commit to being GC reporter. But he can hope.......lol

Theresa 09-05-2007 11:06 AM

my mom said if no one is going that can report, she'll at least make pictures of the outfits and hair to send to me so I can post them LOL

retsambeW 09-05-2007 11:11 AM

I am supposed to be going. Hotels already taken care of, etc.

Considering not going, though. I am a tad discouraged.

I have not made up my mind which way to vote.

I am for advertising, but against division. Some of the rhetoric of late from both sides of the issues saddens me.

I almost don't care what they do, it won't affect me.

IAintMovin 09-05-2007 11:18 AM

Got plane tickets bought.....got a room last week at HQ hotel......guess the beautiful Lady IAM and I will be there..............

If anybody knows of a room, let Coon know.......I think that will push him to the for sure side.........

IAintMovin 09-05-2007 11:19 AM

Going in on Tuesday, will be there about noon........will be home by 10:30 on Saturday....after getting up before the chickens..........

Theresa 09-05-2007 11:19 AM

Actually this is happening on both sides. HQ does not really care which way "the vote" goes... it's about high turn out for them - to prove people don't mind paying for the registration. LOL! :killinme

I am afraid I'm about to make the bitterness worse, but I just found out you can't even get into the display area unless you are registered. I happen to know that sales have been down the last few years. I wonder how they think this will help.

You have got to be kidding.

Just to ease your minds, the PAW charged $60 to attend their shindig. I personally would not pay a mandatory charge of a penny to go hear preaching.

Whats the big deal guys? Mo Mens Conference starts tomorrow and we will all be paying registration.

I understand not charging for evangelism - but that is simply not the intent of these sevices.

I am sure there is a visitors exemption for any service at GC with an evangelism thrust (think HG Rally)

It is no big deal. As long as they are using the funds to compensate for the facilities use fees - I have no issues with it. It also costs money to buy gas and drive to the location, just because it's religious does'nt mean it's free.
