Today, September 8, 2007 a special event is happening!

Today my husband (of 48 yrs.) and I will be attending the

50th Class Reunion of the graduating class of 1957. There

were 32 students in my class, in our very small town. (It is listed

as #8, fastest growing suburbs in the U.S. today.)

The remarkable thing about today is that all of those classmates

are still living and most will be attending. Most still live in the area.

(Maybe plants that grow where they were original planted do better

than transplants that have had their roots messed with.) Just a

thought.

Earlier in the year as the reunion was planned, my first thoughts were

to go on a diet, buy a stunning outfit, etc., etc. But after a while a

new thought emerged in my mind. Lord Jesus, I want to be presentable,

not flashy, nor fleshly, but I want to carry your glory inside me to these

precious classmates. I want them to see YOU in me. Will YOU shine forth

through me! Will YOU be the fuel (Oil) in my lamp (vessel). Will YOU be

the shade on my lampstand!

Today, knowing what I will be carrying to this 50 yr. class reunion, I

feel very confident in Him. I have endeavored to make sure my "lamp"

vessel is cleansed and made ready for HIM to shine forth!

Create in me, Your image O Lord,
Let me be all You've dreamed I could be.
And when You have finished with Your work in me.
I pray that JESUS is all they will see!!!

Blessings,

Falla39

Thank you, Bro. Dan,

There will be no alcoholic drinks there! Most are non-drinkers.

God is so good!

Sister,

I pray God uses you in a MIGHTY way. It is evident that your wonderful parents' investment in their children was NOT in vain.

God bless you!

What fun, Sis Falla. I hope you have an incredible day.

And I cannot imagine your light not shining anywhere!!

Thank you, Bro. Kansas Preacher! We are told our labor in the

Lord is not in vain. They are resting and we are carrying on the

work they begun here in our city, in 1958. I was eighteen then

and will turn 68 in ten days. May all who come behind US find us

faithful! Each generation is responsible for what they leave IN the

generation coming behind. Our parents and grandparents left more

IN us than what they left TO us. I am SO grateful and thankful!

Sis. Falla,

You are so correct in your decision - you have a fabulous smile and a sweet, fun disposition, so you already have your stunning outfit!!

Have a blast! I bet as you look around you'll feel 20 years younger than the others in attendance because of your blessed lifestyle!

You've got that right. When I went to my 20th reunion, alot of those folks looked old and rough - they have lived a hard life and it was showing.

Yesterday, September 8, 2007 a special event happened!

The 50th Class Reunion of my graduating class of 1957 was a great success!

Our class sponser, age 89 yrs, and her son, who was in our class, were able

to attend. She told how in 1957 during the graduating ceremony, that she

had to go into a nearby hall or classroom to weep. The principal asked why

she was crying and she told him, "My babies are leaving", and he said, "I

would think you would be glad". Last night there was that same closeness

as "Mother Starr" and her "babies" once again shared an evening together.

They had a time for anyone who wanted to say something they remembered

or give a brief "testimony" about their family and what they do or have

done, etc.. So many mentioned about the closeness of our class. There was

still, after 50 yrs., such a feeling of caring and closeness for each other. I

know the Peace Speaker was in that place last night! It only takes one

vessel to take Him there. But I believe there were more!

Thanks to all who prayed that it would be a tremendous success! It was a

wonderful time. Perhaps I can have some pics to post later.

Blessings,

On Sept. 8, 2007, I attended the 50th Class Reunion of my graduating class of 1957.
There were 32 or 33 classmates in this class. I reported in 2007 that our class sponser
who was 89 yrs old, was able to attend our 50th Class Reunion. She passed on in 2008.
As I reported in 2007, all of the graduating class of 1957 were still alive. We all still re-
main alive and are all 70 yrs or above.

Sept. 2009, I turned 70 yrs. I was the youngest member of our graduating class. One
of the guys e-mailed me after my birthday last year and told me that since I had turned
70 yrs, that all of our class had successfully entered into the 7th decade of our lives.

Last Thursday evening most of we classmates met in a private room of a nice resturant
in a neighboring city. We came close to losing a couple of our classmates the last two
yrs. So there was a strong desire to be together again while we were all still alive. There
was such a sweet closeness and appreciation for one another. Out of the 32 classmates
that graduated together in 1957, there were six or seven that were not there Thursday.
One was out of the country, a couple were ill, etc.

Great story! It's amazing that not one classmate passed away after all these years from illness, heart attack, accident, etc.

We are having a JCM (UPC bible school) reunion in a few weeks, and even though we had a small graduating class (less than 25), we have lost a few friends over the years.

This is a great testimony, the class of 39 is something special!! My class has only gotten together one time since graduation, so I have no idea what this is like.

Amazing! I graduated in 1974 from High School, and some of my classmates were dead before my 10 year reunion. There were only 42 in my graduating class.

That is incredible! (And Wonderful.) Granted, my graduation class much MUCH larger but a couple were dead before I turned 21 -and they happened to be friends. One was drunk and slammed into a tree and the other had a brain tumor.

Our eldest daughter graduated in a class of 107 in 1978. She was valedictoriun of her
class, her second cousin was salutatorian of this same class. They both gave inspiring
addresses, giving God glory for the success in their school years and lives. Afterward
our daughter stood at the edge of the football field with the bleachers filled with well
wishers, families and friends and sang "Only One Life" written by Lanny Wolfe. You could
have heard a pin drop on the metal bleachers in the silence following her song. No music,
just the clear youthful voice of a 17 yr old filled with the Spirit of the Living GOD.

Many of their classmates have died in the years since. She is the firsttime Grandmother
of our new little Great-Grandchild, Natalie Dianne, pictured in the Grandparents Guild. To
God be the Glory, for Great things HE has done, IS doing and will continue to do!

Cool! I got to give the V-speech too, and was able to talk freely about the Lord. But I bet today in that same school, it would not be allowed.

Sherri,

At this same high school, (my nephew who was Salutatorian with our daughter as Valedictorian in 1978), two
years later his sister was Valedictorian of the class of 1980. We heard that the the principal said that they
wanted to see her speech before graduation and that "that was not going to happen again".

There has been much religious prejudice in our city through the years. I won't go into a discussion of that BUT
I know it to be a fact. That principal didn't live very much longer, dying of a heart attack. The fear of the LORD
is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Seems some can't stand for others to give praise and
glory to GOD for what HE has done and is doing in their lives. GOD is NOT going to give HIS GLORY to another.
But we give HIM GLORY for what HE IS and WHO HE IS! DARE those who would hinder those who give HIM
GLORY DUE UNTO HIS NAME!!!

Hey, Brother, wake up!!!:ursofunny
I was not in the 1939 class. That's when I was born.
Graduated in 1957. Had our 50th Class Reunion in 2007.
Had a class "get to gether" last week. Most of the class
from 1957 were there. Even the five or six who did not
get to attend are still alive. Not one has died in over 50
yrs. For a reason or purpose, known only to HIM, HE has
allowed us to remain.
