you know, even if I had all the time in the world I would NEVER have noticed the inconsistency in the foot length and shoe length.

At my mom's 75th Bday party recently, my niece said the most powerful thing my mom ever taught it was much better to have 10 pairs of shoes that are discounted to $10.00 each rather than one pair at full price for $100.00. She has two closets at home to prove she was a fast learner! :D

Amen Bro!!! Especially when you have 4 kids!!! My daughter went shopping with a friend when we were in Ok last weekend. I was worried what she would come home with because when I sent her out I only had a 100 dollar bill on me and made her absolutely promise to come home with change. The girl went to this one store which will remain sorta nameless F****S and they had a clearance rack out and she found a pair of shoes she fell in love with last Jan that happened to still be there! Not only that they were marked from 118 down to 55 and 75% off of that and she found a huge scratch across the back of it (lol the heel will cover the scratch so it didnt matter but...) she asked them if she got an additional discount for them being scratched and they gave her another 10 dollars off!!!

She came home with having got this awesome pair of shoes and lunch and still had 80 dollars or so to hand mom back!!!

My mom would love her! My mom shops at S&M Bargin City (they liquidate the large brand name stores in Dallas and other major cities) in Lake Charles and as soon as she spots something she likes the first thing she does is look for some reason to get some additional discount... a thread or or small tear or something not properly stitched. She dresses well for hardly anything. I admire her!

Thats my type of lady! We have a routine here where every year at tax time we would give the kids like 2 or 3 hundred dollars for clothes.. well this yr tax time was not as great as the past due to some things we had to get caught up... so I gave them a little bit but not as much and based it more on their age and what they needed. Well Zoey got 75 dollars. I figured yep one outfit. LOL Boy was I wrong!!! She was able to go to Catos and get her 8 skirts and 2 tops and I had to give her 2 dollars for tax. Yes now they werent designer but she knows how to find nice looking clothes no matter what her budget!

One of my employees wore those today and when I saw them I thought of H2H and wheelchairs, so I had to put them on and post. My sweet employees said I looked great in spikes and should wear them more - - I said, so are you trying to tell me you don't like me as a boss and want me to break my neck?

Are these the sort of shoes that the Sisters wear to GC ?
It seems to me at the last big UPCI church I visited high heels were the vogue for the sisters.
My youngest girl wants a pair of high heels but I won't let her have them.
A mid heel ,yes but not spike heels for a 12 yr.old.

*bows my head in shame* jk

My 12 yr old has those same shoes but then again my 12 yr old is also ummmm a much well.. she looks like an adult. From a distance everyone thinks she is me... and she is no shorty either. She was measured at the dr yesterday and she is 5 ft 10 1/2 and still growing and wears a size 11/12 shoe.

So I guess it depends on the child. But yes thats the type shoe you will see a lot of the sistas wearing at GC

Suddenly - it crossed my hart...

Trouvere 09-22-2007 01:21 AM

Well in Florida we aren't wearing those alot.Honestly most of the ladies wear
the ones without the back straps or those with straps on the lower and a lower heel with ankle straps. The fifteen year olds to maybe about 22 are wearing the very high and very pointed ones though.

Much better for the sandal to be too big than to have toes hanging over the edge. HUGE fashion faux pas!
