I don't know if they are still going to do this or not -- or how it would even be possible -- but when they first discussed this on the General Board, they said they would provide a "Visitor's Pass."

I am not sure how you can tell who is truly a "visitor."

They probably changed this like they did their original ruling that ministers would only get into one business session without paying.

The solution is obvious - just let the facial hair start to grow out now each year before conference. Then you can be a "visitor" and avoid the poll tax.

I realize you are being tongue-in-cheek, but the fact is that there a growing number of UPC congregations that allow facial hair, as well as cut hair and makeup on women. That's why I'm not sure how they will determine who is actually a "visitor."
