Will a Man go to Hell for Wearing a Skirt?

In the interest of equality.

Would a man go to Hell for wearing a skirt?

Think carefully before answering kiddies!:hypercoffee

Depends. Is he trying to emulate a woman by wearing skirt?

If the first place why would the man wear the dress?

Maybe it's a man dress?

I mean, it's made by different designers and all.

Maybe he's just trying to be comfortable and stylish?

MissBrattified 09-25-2007 03:10 PM

IF men ever decide to wear dresses, skirts or robes (again), someone should attach a label full of RULES in the tag. Such as:

* Please wear underwear.
* Please don't cross your legs if your dress is knee length or above.

And such like.

We had a kilt-clad bagpipe player at a funeral last year, and he was sitting cross-legged in the church nursery waiting for his cue, and...um...flashed...a couple of people...probably wasn't even aware of that fact, used to wearing jeans...but then again, I can't imagine WHY...well, oh well, never mind.

BrotherEastman 09-25-2007 03:11 PM

I don't believe it, another question about standards.

Hmmm, so you are saying a man in a kilt is immodest? Gee, I betcha folks weren't ready for that kind of entertainment at a funeral!:poloroid

Well. The bagpipe playing in and of itself sent me into a very inappropriate and untimely fit of giggles...our church isn't huge, it certainly isn't a hillside in Scotland, and when that guy fired up and started down the aisle, I nearly lost it. To make it worse, apparently there was some huge sentimental value to the poor deceased saint's grown granddaughter who was sobbing the whole time, which added to my amusement. (Yeah, I was sittin' up front by the organ, in plain sight...my best friend elbowing me in the ribs.) I had to bite my tongue till it nearly bled to stop myself from ruining the funeral and my somber, appropriate image. :D

Word To The Wise: Bagpipes are great if they're about a block or more away. Any closer than that...:bolt

If he is trying to appear to be a woman then it violates God's word (this would cover most situations of such occuring here in the USA). However, if it is a native garment worn during a traditional ceremony, then no. I have also seen Holy Ghost filled men wear robes (which are essentially dresses) during Easter plays. I don't believe that they were sinning or are going to hell. It's all about motivation. In our current culture there is no good motivation for a man to be wearing a skirt in normal day-to-day life.

The priests were ordered to wear undergarments that covered their thighs to the knee caps so they could climb up to minister, so do these men dresses cause these chaps to not climb ladders, trees, jump a motorcycle or sit on a couch?

Miss Bratti...Lord forbid that men should wear a dress/skirt!!! However, I've seen a few ladies, uhh, scratch that, women who could have used a label with instructions inside their blue jean skirts...:killinme

Hmm, that is a rather disgusting thought.

I wonder what Zaccueus was wearing when he climbed the sycamore tree?

He must of been wearing something because he was a tax collector, and the Jews hated the boot lickers of Rome, so I would "guess" that to avoid a problem with those who would look for opportunity to have issue with Zaccueus he may have been covered below.

Um...that is an inappropriate link.

HeavenlyOne 09-25-2007 03:46 PM

I saw a man in a robe at the hospital today. It was a priest of some sort......but he was safe. I'm sure I saw the cuffs of his pants peeking out from under the robe!

No, its the commercial/intro on the site. Pretty risque towards the end...I'd give it at least a PG-13.
