Angelic Visitation

I received a phone call from a friend tonight asking me to meet he and his wife at our church. So, the wife and I gussied up and moved on over to meet he and his family.

This man lives about two and a half hours from me, and is a minister from another Oneness fellowship. When we got there, we all sat down in the sanctuary of our little building. He told me that he had been in prayer and that the Lord had brought my family and church before him. He asked if he could share a Word from the Lord with me.

He began telling me that the Lord knew right where I was at, and had not forgotten me. He told me that the Lord was going before me, even now, to prepare a great blessing.

He read my mail friends. He was mightily used in the spiritual gifts. He shared things no one else knew but my wife and I. He told me that the Lord wasn't blind, so as not to see. He said, that the Lord wasn't deaf, so as not to hear.

He had brought a basin with him, and went and filled it with warm water. He demanded to wash my feet. I was totally humiliated by this act of servitude.
When he began to wash my feet, his wife laid her hands on my very sick wife's head and began to pray for her.

I'm here to tell you the power of God came into that little church in a way I have seldom ever been privy to. The four of us wept, and sang, and praised God for over an hour.

When we were through, the man and his wife told us that they had been visited by an angel this week, and that the angel had sent them to us.

Awesome.

Ronzo 03-03-2007 08:14 PM

Outstanding Pastor P!

God is so faithful! He has His own amazing ways of letting us know that we're never alone, that He hasn't forgotten about us and that we are important to Him!

This is one of the things that was shared ( I hope I can relate it well):

A fruit tree does not bear fruit immediately upon planting. It is several years before the tree reaches maturity, and puts forth something that is tasty. Reproduction (spiritual in this case) can take time as well.

In the meantime, the tree just does what a tree is meant to do. It soaks up every bit of sun and rain it can get. It grows in an unforced way. Growth is simply natural. If there is good soil, and the climate is right, fruit will come.

The implication is that we need to just BE. Just allow God to do His thing. Just continue doing what Christians and pastors are supposed to do.

Simple, but reassuring.

LaVonne 03-03-2007 09:21 PM

What a wonderful testimony!!!!:bliss

I've found that God's word to us always is just that. Simple -- and reassuring! :)

You just keeping doing your part (plant and water) and God will give the increase!

What an awesome testimony PP! Thank you so much for sharing. I was truly blessed and encouraged just by reading it.

mizpeh 03-03-2007 11:07 PM

His ways are past finding out!

God sends an angel to speak to a couple who drive 2.5 hours to give you and your wife a message of grace and comfort and your testimony on this forum blesses us all. Praise God!

I hope this article blesses you. http://www.oldpathsmag.com/ Scroll down to Arthur Murray's The Power of Persevering Prayer.

LadyCoonskinner 03-03-2007 11:21 PM

PP, I think that that is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!!!!

(kinda humbles ya, that God would send an angel to someone 2 1/2 hours away to come and tell ya, He knows where you are.)

God is good to me
He is so good to me
More than this world could be
He's so good to me.
His spirit came to me
and gave sweet victory
God is so good to me
I can't complain.

Felicity 03-03-2007 11:23 PM

This song came to my mind ....

Faithful One so unchanging
Ageless One You’re my rock of peace
Lord of all I depend on You
I call out to You, again and again
I call out to You, again and again

You are my rock in times of trouble
You lift me up when I fall down
All through the storm
Your love is the anchor
My hope is in You alone

berkeley 03-04-2007 01:51 AM

Pastor Poster,

From what I know of God...this is how he operates. Thank you for sharing this testimony...it increases your faith and that of others who are struggling...knowing that God does see and hear.

I feel Jesus in this post.

Blessings, Rhoni

Testimonies like these are the things I look forward to on forums! Thanks for sharing God's blessings with us...

What I find amazing, though greatly sad, is that there are those among us who actually think that the Holy Ghost would not fall because there were only four people there... Crazy...

That's good stuff!

I always find that when I make things too complicated He always brings me back with something so simple like that... He's so huge and intricately detailed... His ways cannot be understood by our simple human minds, yet He deals with us in the simplest ways... What a great God!!!

I forgot to ask in my last post about the nature of your wife's sickness. If you are at liberty to share, do tell.

Great testimony!

A couple of things come to mind as I read this, either you have been in a great trial or you soon enter one. God speaks the most clearest to prepare us for the greatest of trials.

I forgot to ask in my last post about the nature of your wife's sickness. If you are at liberty to share, do tell.

My wife has an illness called Graves Disease. It attacks her immune system.
Two weeks ago she underwent a radiational iodine treatment to remove her thyroid completely.

She has been extremely weak for months now. we are hoping that this treatment, and the subsequent medical therapy, will take care of the problem.

There is much more to it, but that's probably all I should share. Thanks for being concerned.

That is a terrible trial.

Satan is steal a defeated foe and a liar... Victory over his works is sweet. I found myself savoring in the glory of a victory over his works last night at church...

My son was pointed out as an example of how we are to worship the Lord because he is one of those who will do whatever he knows he needs to do in the Spirit without thought of who is around...

This being the same child (my one and only) that I was afraid I had lost a few years ago to a very strong spirit of delusion that is in our world today...

I was so completely blessed... I even tear with joy now to think of it.
