Wedding Dress.....

Does anyone know anything about selling used wedding dresses? I am contemplating selling mine but only if I can get a decent price out of it - otherwise I will just save it in case my girls want to use it. Of course by then it will be outdated and they will probably want something more trendy - which is why I may sell it if the price is right, I just have no idea how much they run used.

Anyone got any suggestions??

Ebay. And it'll bring more money if your pics show your husband wearing it.

:D

I have looked into doing this but the lady here who buys & sells wedding dresses (out town isn't that big we only have one shop that does this that I know of) she never sells them over $700 - and that is for the really really nice ones, and I would only get 40% of what she sells it for - so I would get more money off of it by selling it myself but I hate going through the trouble of putting it online or in the paper. I don't know what to do, I don't even know what it is worth. It is only 7 years old and IMO it still looks pretty modern because at the time it was the newest style - it cost about $1200 w/veil and that was on sale.

Anyways....decisions,decisions........

You will probably do better to put it online if you are expecting to get a lot out of it... I sold mine at a consignment store in Dallas, the nicest store we had which delt in wedding dresses all the time and what she does is go by the list price and then if it is more than a yr old and has been worn... it is half of that price to list and I got 40% she said you will not find one anywhere in the country that will give you more than that... and after all the ones I called I think she was right LOL...

Mine was 1400 and I ended up with 500 out of it and again that was in an area with a very large market... They also say if it is not a size 10-14 then it will probably be marked down about another 100 or so as they also price them by most common sizes.... soooooooooo thats just my take on what happened

Or you could donate it to help support Brides Against Breast Cancer.
