Notice how it was the guy in shorts and flip flops that didn't make it at the end?

Sorry. :)

Sorry. :)

He had a 'casual' relationship with the Lord.

(couldn't resist)

Acts 1:11
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
KJV

I have to wonder though, when the disciples were told that Jesus would come in like manner, why were all these things seen in the vidio not discribed?

Exactly. He will literally be seen.

If he would have just worn longer pants that day he would have made it.

or

was it the short sleeve Tee shirt that caused him to miss out?

or

was it the open toed shoes?

All of the above - I knew where that guy was headed even before the special effects came online.

As far as "not seeing Jesus" the reason is obvious: it was a "sinner's point of view" that was being presented. Of course with the heavy emphasis on YEC at the start, I'm surprised anyone in that room made it at all. :wacko :dunno :) And don't even get me started about the guys with a "fulfilled eschatology" expecting to "see Jesus..." http://apostolicfriendsforum.com/ima...ons/icon12.gif

Oh boy, have we hijacked the thread yet?

LOL! I remember back in the 1970's, M.T. was teaching excitedly about the rapture and Armageddon, etc. He was using slides with a lot of the graphics having been done by Seventh Day Adventists. He was really getting folks excited about everything when he stopped himself and pointed out a lady "going up in the rapture" up on the screen - at that point he interjected, "Now her sleeves' a little short and her hair looks like its cut a bit, but we all understand that..." and then kept going on with his exhortation. Sadly he lost about half the crowd with his little aside about that "dear sister" who made it some how.

We later consoled each other that the "dear sister" must have been a new convert and one of the last to pray through.

I like that way of thinking, Sam!! that means we all have uncut hair.

Ooops, that would also include the men, wouldn't it. And it seems to me that they're supposed to have cut hair.

Hmmmm....... now what? Can't have it both ways..........................

:heeheehee:heeheehee:heeheehee

well....I thought I was great. Anytime you can remind people to be ready, no matter how it is done is a wonderful thing. I sent it to every teenager and friend I had.......thank you so much for sharing.....oh and I believe God looks at the heart, not the length of the sleeves....

I'd think that they would have at least mentioned a trumpet sounding...
