My opinion:
I said this before in another thread.
What we voted on in Tampa has NO effect on a country like Honduras. They have their own constitution. We are uniform on plan of salvation, basic holiness, but from there everything is up to each country.

for example....for the most part there is no such thing as an atonamous UPC church in latin america, everything is under control of the National Board. Some countries rotate Pastors. The board has authority to take a pastor out of one church and send him to another. obviously NOT a US custom

In some countries local licensed ministers CANNOT baptize someone, you have to hold general or higher. again not practiced here officialy, (although I've heard some Pastors do this)

my point is just because the UPC of the U.S. decided to vote in resolution 4 does NOT mean that each country has to adopt this resolution into their own manual

The missionary will get his support. There are many who will be happy to support a good man. This is a good man and one worthy of support unlike some that I know of.

There is one on the field now that use to pastor in the next town. I was in a different district then. He doesn't believe anything. His daughters cut their hair wore shorts and tank tops, play on school ball teams. His son play on the ball team and dated worldly girls. In this man's business was photos of his kids at the prom in ungodly dress.

He coached a little league ball team and he and his wife also went to the prom.
They had a TV and the DS had ask them to get rid of it. So they took it down to the basement family room.

People like this do not deserve support.

I feel pity for those that make Res 4 the most defining event in their life. Yes, that would seem to include you friend. I got no time to grouse about something the UPCI does or doesn't do. I have enough to do without judging the conscience and convictions of the brethren.
If all those expending so much energy pro and con for Res 4 would channel that into local evangelism, what a revival that might actually break out.

As for me God is still on the throne and there is a message to be preached and the lost to be won!
