Rex Johnson was GREAT tonight

We had Rex Johnson preach at church today, he was great!! We celebrated Bro.and Sister Ray Johnsons 36 years at the church.

I had to order his book, he sold out. I told him I wanted his book because I am going to try and get him on TBN to promote it.

This man needs to be on TV, he is one of my favorite preachers.

I know Mark Winters. Does he still base out of Denham?

What was his response about going on TBN. BTW...the book is tremendous and YES the world needs to hear him!

He smiled. His testimony of his wife and son being killed by a drunk driver and how he has been able to go on for 26 years ,would be great to share on TBN also.

Trouvere 10-22-2007 05:15 AM

I haven't read it Sandra. That is though a tragic story.

rgcraig 10-22-2007 06:05 AM

Rex Johnson preaches good everytime he steps up to the pulpit!

His life is a true testimony!!

Ferd 10-22-2007 06:23 AM

Why TBN? I would rather see him appear on CNN or one of the other major networks. This brings up a point of interest. With the liberty to advertise on TV, it will be interesting to see whether the emphasis will be on reaching the non-churched community, or on proselytizing, as so often happens in missionary work overseas.

The chances of him going on CNN are very slim, I have no infliuence there, I can get him on TBN if he wants to go on.

Sandra,

If you do succeed in getting him on, tell him he can't start calling folks "Bo" or he will give Texas a bad name as a bunch of hicks!:pirate:pirate

Just kidding... Rex Johnson has no problems with his personal presentation!

It is an awesome book. I have read my personally autographed copy 3 times. It has spoken to my heart each time. It really helps keep life's issues in perspective.

In my opinion, Rex Johnson will experience tremendous success whether it be TBN, CBN, Inspirational Network or whatever!

He is very wise and will not embarrass Apostolics! :D

Hey Sandra,

Are the new owners of NFCF going to reopen it or not?

They are, but it has been delayed. Not sure why, but will let you know when I find out.

TB that is a stickler to me why would anyone want to be on TBN with those snake oil salesmen??? ANY other station would be reaching folks who know they are not saved. We are together on this. Call the law.:runhills:runhills

TBN is the largest television network , it has more stations than any network.
Thats why, why not get on there and share what God has done in Rex Johnsons life.
Someone might be touched and ministred to, thats why.

Rex is a good guy. I am a little surprised that he didn't jump at the opportunity to promote his book on TBN.

I am not a TBN fan but if I had written an inspirational book geared toward encouraging Christians it certainly would be a great place to make it known to a broad Christian audience.

It should be interesting to see what Rex does after Res 4 passed. I don't know if he is interested in preaching on TV but I can definitely see him using it for advertising. Especially since his church is close to some major thoroughfares but off on a side road and can't be seen easily.

LaGirl 10-22-2007 10:17 AM

I LOVE Bro Rex Johnson! He is a great preacher!!!

CC1,

it might be wise to deal with his parking issues before he does too much advertising! :D

Sandra - He was great in both services. I saw you from the balcony, but did not get down to speak to you. I agree his book is a very inspiring book.

what's the book about ?

I heard that you have to sign an agreement to uphold the "Trinity" in order to be a guest or perhaps preach on TBN ???
It will be interesting to see how UPC folks handle that

He was great, I really felt stupid after I told Bro. Ray Johnson that if something ever happened to him the church could just vote in Rex Johnson. Same last name and they would only have to change the ay to ex in his first name. Have you ever said something then afterwards you just wanted to die.:D

Thad,

I believe you are right on this but it's only on their contractual agreement. They have a set of guidelines for those who buy airtime for teaching, etc. but not for guest who are singing or are their for interview.

There are so many veiws on TBN, the network has many denominations represented and many differ in their beliefs.
They allow many different veiws, just watch TBN for a 24 hour period and you will see it clearly.

I know that years ago Kenneth Phillips could not be on the local TBN TV station in Austin because he would not sign an agreement like that stating he believed in the trinity.

However later the local Charismatic Pastor who ran that station made an exception for him so he could be on.

Bro. Rex came to OK a few years ago and ministered at our Marriage Retreat. He did an awesome job!
