Let's Bury This...

I am well aware of many of my shortcomings ... including my inability, sometimes, to soften my words. [Something I really need to work on.]

Furthermore, we could continue this spat that obviously was founded in a misunderstanding ... but it would not be to any avail.

I am sorry if I have offended you in any way ... and hope we can bury the hatchet.

I meant the words to my sister that you took exception to ... and for that I cannot apologize ... but if there is something that I have done to insult you ... I will try to improve.

Let's bury this,
Dan

There is nothing to bury. This has absolutely nothing to do with your sister. She and I have made peace.

I have nothing against you Daniel, honestly, I don't. In fact, to an extent, I know what it feels like to be you.

I have been reading your stuff for a while, your responses, your comments, etc., and I believe it is difficult for you to be held intellectually accountable because of your bias and yes, spite toward the organization.

You do not argue points of discussion based on the academics and merit of the topic, you haven't to this point taken any other consideration other than your own, and when you reach an intellectual box canyon, you resort to bailing out with either insults, or a pseudo-spiritual high road.

You just pushed the right buttons, broke the camels, back, froze the engine, and I had to respond in kind.

From henceforth on, I challenge you. :D

Here's the thing with Daniel, and I dearly love the guy.

He will never, ever admit when he is wrong, even when he absolutely knows he is.

So Carpenter, don't chase rainbows.

I decided to give him a chance and made a deal with myself that when I am responding to his posts, I will be playing on-line Boggle so he will at least get half my attention...ya know, just to make it fair.

that is the question.

I happen to know that Carp attends a UPC church (it doesn't matter how frequently or how reluctantly - he is still in the "Ark") so I think that answer if quite clear.

I will grant you that Carp has had to have a pastors wife get in his face about not worshipping demonstratively enough when he was in choir, but he still has his butt on a UPC pew on a fairly regular basis.

I thought you wanted to debate something? You told me that like 20 times in that other thread?

Joseph 10-22-2007 02:59 PM

Bury it Carp, bury it. Just make sure he is not in too much pain when you do. :D

For folks like yourself, and those from Rio Linda, sometimes I have to spell the big three-syllable words phonetically so you can read and understand them there Encryptus. :pirate

That's the Puerto Rican in him, manifesting itself. Being stubborn is a prerequiste to God creating anyone a Puerto Rican. :)
