Full Meltdown Mode
Am I the only one who sees this?
Friends, we are in full meltdown mode here. NCO on the left. Apostolic Summit on the right. ALJC defectors to the middle. Unreal. |

I guess "specialty" orgs are all the rage now.

I knew you had it in you.:hypercoffee |
No melt down, just business as usual.......but not necessarily the Father's business.
I pray we would all melt down into purified gold that reflects the Refiner's image |

Then God help us to get back to the Father's business. |

C'mon Dan, admit it, the seams in these britches are bustin all over. |
For a "small" fee, I will design a custom boutique organization to your specifications that will include business cards, a clergy sticker for your car, a "fellowship card" and 2 bottles of olive oil*
I think this could be a successful business venture given the history of religion. Plus, I can guarantee that your organization will be just as "sanctioned by God" as any of the existing ones! :D * Ultra-con leaning organizations are restricted to black lettering on a white background in either Times New Roman or Arial font. |

And the "Apostolic Summit" looks good to those who don't want to fellowship "divine flesh" and "trinnies" the way they imagine eveyone else in the UPC does. Dunno about "ALJC defectors" except some that have come into the UPC recently. You've got a good perspective on your ministry. I saw your post about how you feel that the folks you pastor are "God's people" and not "yours." That is such a monumental step in ministry that a whole lot of preachers are never able to take. Keep your eyes fixed on that angle and the rest of this stuff will look like the peripheral nonsense that it is. |

Hate to disappoint, but many within NCO are also still in UPC. It's simply not an alternative organization, or denomination, and is not intending on becoming one. |

My goal is to "convert" Brother Griffin back to the mothership ASAP so that he can calm the restless natives. Of course, he'll need to shave that ungodly beard first.:hypercoffee |

Nope. You must be PAJC, with no TV, and UPC,to be acceptable. :hypercoffee |
Quote:
To the shock of many no doubt, would have no problem with no TV. Just have problem with breaking fellowship over it. As far as preaching, I'm old school. No one could tell if PCI or PAJC. Of course I guess I'm still a little too ecumenical for some. Preaching/teaching all of this love and tolerance nonsense. :hypercoffee (Can I at least keep my coffee?) |

However, "love and tolerance' sounds loosey-goosey Charismatic. |

I love my Lord....the UPC is an organization.....therefore nothing to love there! |

Notwithstanding, I am not a member of the UPC (having not renewed license since 1983) , and you stumbled upon a private joke between PastorPoster and myself which was the conclusion of an entirely unrelated topic. But there is MUCH to love about the UPC. And despite proclamations of gloom and doom it is currently merely in a period of transition and shall emerge the better for it. |
Quote:
Ummm if you love the UPC why did you leave? |
