West Coast Conference starts tonight in Fresno, Ferd. [ Vaugh Morton's ]
This conference will inspire many new posts I would think. Your mind is fine, especially when you get into your cooking "mode". I didn't know you were so versatile and talented.

BOOMM
No visit at this time to Fresno. I try to stay away from dangerous places! Some of my kids will be there so pray for them. I'll have to wait till Christmas for I've been away too much lately. Thanks to the internet and cell phones I'm sure I'll stay apprised of all that happens.

It was a waste of my money and time to go to GC. I'm sure I would get alot more out of one of these conf. than I would ever get out of GC.

Why then did you not plan to go to a Spiritual Conference you would have enjoyed instead of what seems your frustration expressed here?

Would your money and time have been wasted if the vote went the other way?

It was a waste of time and money. It may have been history in the making, but so was the sinking of the Titanic. I'm sure that those that were there don't have fond memories. I doubt you could find one that would say " I sure am glad that I was on the Titanic that night. I got to watch people die. Oh what great memories"

My time and money would have been better spent on either one of these other confs. At least I would of heard some good preaching.

I should let it go.... But I don't think the UPC is going down, as you imply... Looks like the UPC Ship might be just lightening the load and run even better and more effective.

Not all history is good.

Wonder how many you could find that was glad they were on the Titanic?
Think they enjoyed it? Watching so much death.

Haven't I heard that somewhere before?? Or is there an echo in here?

Wh....amazing...

I wonder how many conferences are a waste of money...how many more do we need where we go hear the same messages over and over again... and over again...how much saving is really done at these other than to make preachers feel good???

And how many conferences can you go to where the preacher does entire sermons based on how "he feels" about things, before you want to hear something out of the WORD of God!

I will tell you that the last time I preached at a conference I stayed in the Word of God only...

I have heard that more that one of the AMC sermons made a few there feel like repenting of sins they did not partake of!

I think that is what he is saying..

there was probably no preaching against rings, watches, beards, women wearing red, and probably no preaching on the supreme authority of the Pastor...

probably just stuff out of scriptures explaining what they really mean and what the Lord was saying...

probably....

You can stir that pot all you want, (IMO) I'd like some good answers on why preaching from the Bible, on Biblical principals, isn't considered "good preaching".

You are 100% right.

I think some of these guys would rather be beat up from the pulpit than built up. I just don't understand that thinking, but that is all that happens at their conferences.
