We plan on being there with our youth.

SDG 11-08-2007 06:19 PM

Will the ladies ski in their skirts?

Whole Hearted 11-08-2007 06:21 PM

Ours won't be sking at all.

LadyChocolate 11-08-2007 07:39 PM

I would love to go! Although I am not considered "youth" anymore, I have heard two of these men and have never been disappointed. Oh, I love to hear preaching from these men of God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know Dan was being TIC, but I've heard a lot about folks who do not permit their ladies to do things like skiing at all because of the "compromise" they feel is involved.

Do you take that kind of approach? Or is the skiing in Fort Worth just not good enough to bother hitting the slopes there?

Our ladies do not ski period. My wife agrees that anything a lady cannot do in a skirt and be modest a lady doesn't need to do.

I guess the women get enough exercise cooking and cleaning to worry about doing any immodest physical activities...

No actually when I first heard of women claiming to be Apostolic going skiing I ask my wife what she thought about it.

She said "anything I can't do in a dress and be modest I have no business doing."

So actually it was me agreeing with her.

If y'all think I"m strong on standards you should hear her.

Are you a licenced UPC preachers?

My old UPC pastor taught the same thing I do concerning women skiing.

Bro. Ballestero has been at our church these past two weeks....he's incredible! Our people absolutely LOVE him.

I noticed last Sunday night that the sections of the church normally reserved for the young people were filling up with children ages 5-11. He not only kept the adults interested, the kids were enthralled.

It takes a special person to do that! :hanky

LOL I was thinking the same thing. I think.

Were you thinking what some call Strong on standards other call S....d on standards?

I was on a ski slope one time with "Pennys" from another church. Their girls were forced to ski with a skirt or dress OVER the pants/long johns they were wearing underneath.

They really got some stares. I'm sure those staring were thinking," I want what they got".

Never have figured out for those that wrongly think pants on a women is an abomination figure it is unabominated by putting a skirt over the pants and makes it OK.

A little lesson in Hebrew and some understanding of the history going on during the time of the writing of Deuterronomy would save us all much trouble.

Looking forward to hearing these good holiness men at Heritage.
