Possessed at conversion?
Do you believe a man has eternal life the moment his heart converts to faith in Christ?

Been missing you around these parts A! Good to see you back.
I would answer your question but then I would rather not have people to think I am jumping on their bandwagon. :D |

I don't really know what "converts to faith" means, but I do know what John 3:16 says. So, yes, I do believe a person has eternal life when they repents of their sins.
Or...is John 3:16 in the Oneness Bible? I might have one of those dreaded trinitarian Bibles. |

I think Adino means eternity with Christ when he speaks of "eternal life". The same kind Jesus spoke of in Scripture. ;) :)

Thanks for those who have voted thus far.
To define "converts to faith" for Jekyll and others.... I mean does a man have eternal life the moment his heart converts from unbelief to belief (faith) in Christ? At the conversion of the heart to Christ. The moment the heart is awakened to an acceptance of Christ. There is a point in time when the Spirit gives birth to new life in the heart. Do you believe this happens at the moment the heart converts to faith? |

I'm a bit surprized at the outcome of the poll on this question. Could those of you who voted please vote again on another question. The vote will remain anonymous. I'll start another thread with the question:
Do you believe a man is born of the Spirit the moment his heart converts to faith? |
Yes.
But faith in God then points you to his word. Would one continue down the salvation road if they do not follow his word from the moment of salvation? Such as who can forbid water? Unless many here believe that once inside the arms of salvation you are eternally secure. Would loving thy neighbor even be a consideration if we are eternally secure? Let me know so I can stop having to love some people to secure my salvation until the day of redemption! :noidea |
Exhibit A - a man who has yet to rest in Christ.
