Are you working at night or just during the day?

The Skinner is preaching in Topeka on Tuesday Night. Maybe you can come and hear him preach and then we can go out to eat or something.

Let me know!!!

Tell CS to preach a grace message as we all need a message like that.

I love that old movie....

7 of the "little people" in the movie are still alive today..

All in their 90's.

They outlived their average life span by 40 years..

Bro. & Sis. Coonskinner,
I have let my co-workers know that I have Tuesday night blocked off with church friends. Looking forward to meeting you both and hearing Bro. CS preach.

I may just have to slip over to Topeka myself. I always enjoy hearing CS preach. Also, it would be a privilege to meet Rhoni.

Who knows?

Rhoni 11-22-2007 08:21 PM

Not sure if you guys are aware of this..I work for Value Options Kansas. I am looking forward to seeing Kansas and meeting friends from another culture...I heard Kansas has it's own culture.

Brother,

It would be awesome to see you.

The pleasure of fellowship would somewhat compensate for the intimidation of preaching with a master like yourself on the platform...

I hope you are able to make it. :)

Rhoni 11-23-2007 11:49 AM

Coonskinner...you didn't say you were up to meeting me? Think you can handle it or should I bring my boots and hunting gear:)

We are looking forward to meeting you. DO NOT bring your hunting gear. I am so sick of hunting that I could puke. As a matter of fact, he left me at my sister's house and went hunting with a guy about 3 hours from here.

Seriously, though, we are looking forward to meeting you and fellowshipping with you. :bliss:bliss

Well, I gave up on the fact I thought I was a metro, city-slicker when I moved from Clearwater/Tampa Bay to the Lone Star State of Texas. I have seen dirt roads, mules, horses, coyotes and red necks out to whazoo. Guess I just can't get away from them.

Can Kansas be any worse/better? At least they have OZ!:tease

Just wanted to say...it is getting closer and I am really looking forward to meeting some more of the AFF'ers.

My trip to Kansas - for the very first time was very eventful! LOL. I didn't get much work done and no visiting. I flew in from Dallas to Kansas City, MO and drove to Lawrence, Kansas where I was staying at the hotel there.

Dec. 10 I went to Topeka to work a few hours and then overnite the Ice Storm began....and it froze everything up and it closed everything down.

Pastor Coonskinner didn't preach in Topeka because it was cancelled and he and Sis. Coonskinner were in one of the worst areas of Kansas. I wanted to meet them but was hindered by the weather and drive. My cell phone was left in our rented vehicle so I didn't get to talk with them Wednesday.

Renda is going to post some ice pictures for me and you can see how beautiful but cold it was in Kansas.

The good thing...I will be returning to Kansas in the spring and will then make plans to see the Coonskinners again.

Did you guys know that Kansas is frontier? We went 30 miles and didn't see a store, house, gas station, or any people. Totally different culture.

I actually got to see a winter wonderland.

Blessings, Rhoni

rgcraig 12-13-2007 07:57 PM

I can't get the pics to post. Not sure what the problem is.

So close, and yet so far. I think it's 4 or more hours from here. Too bad about the ice. I met the 'skinners last summer and had a nice visit; even went to service Sun morning. I have pix but I'm not too talented on uploading/downloading such.
Rhoni, trust me, you can drive much further than 30 mi in ND or SD and see NOTHING. And yes, these plains states are still populated by true pioneers or at least the pioneer spirit.:christmoose
