From Ezekiel 11 to Acts 2:4 - The New Covenant!

In Ezekiel 11, the glory that leaves the temple's east entrance corresponds to the Garden of Eden's east entrance where Adam was cast out. That glory in Ezekiel 11 was described in chapter 1 as a vision of Jesus with golden torso and legs of fire just as Revelation 1 shows Him. When God says a new covenant would be given and see God's Spirit put people's hearts to serve Him, those who would reject it would be judged. His glory then left the temple and went to the east mountain beside Jerusalem.

That corresponds perfectly to Jesus in Matt 23 who rebuked the hypocrites who rejected the New Covenant and went to the east mountain beside Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives where He spoke of judgment.

The glory never returned to the temple until Ezekiel 43 where he said His throne would be. In chapter 46, the Spirit flowed from the temple as a river with trees of life on either side with leaves for medicine. That matches perfectly with Rev 22's vision of the Spirit flowing like a river from the throne of God and the lamb. Rev 22:17 says it's the Spirit God made available to people in John's day who were thirsty and could come and drink freely.

In John 7:37-39, Jesus said the exact same thing that those who are thirsty can come and drink, and it was the Holy Ghost!

This entire picture shows us that Ezekiel 11's glory leaving was fulfilled when Jesus left the temple in Matt 23 and listed judgments in Matt 24.

Ezekiel 43's return of the glory was Jesus entering the temple in Heaven and being enthroned, and Ezekiel 47 is the day of Pentecost with the Spirit flowing from the temple that was said to be God and the Lamb in Rev 21:22, with that single throne pouring forth the power of the Holy Ghost. Peter said in Acts 2:33 that the Spirit was SHED FORTH (water language) because Jesus sat on the right-hand throne!
