For Those Who Do Not Know...
 

My Dad, George is a cancer survivor. He had two tumors on his brain and tumors on his lungs. He underwent radiation therapy for the brain, and it did clear the lungs. That was a blessing.

However, he has encountered some side effects. One was an old tumor on his back suddenly became infected and it had to be removed. Now, he has lost almost all of his appetite, and simply does not want to eat. He is down to eating baby food, because anything else, even in small quantities, causes him to vomit it up.

And, for me, I am tired in all areas; physically, emotionally, and mentally. I am up later than I should be right now. But, I know Jesus is good.

Would you all please consider adding George, Kathryn (my Mom), and me to your prayer time? I need all the continuing prayer I can get.

I have an update on Dad and the cancer.

We are making preparations for Dad to go into hospice possibly ASAP. He is too weak, and the cancer is ravaging him. Nothing short of a miracle will save his life. I am heart broken, but I have peace in knowing this is the right decision. The doctor sat me down and explained to me that the progression is continuing on schedule, and that he is as good as he can get at this point. He will not be any better.

I thank God, truly thank God, for Daniel and the Church at GloryLand. They have been a support and help in this. Dan, most specially has. Had a chance to talk to him on speaker tonight, and we were able to invite Mom to church Sunday.

Folks, I thank Jesus for His peace. I also thank Him for His strength. If it was not for the brethren, I would have completely lost my mind. I need your continued prayers. Tomorrow, I will be taking half day off to find out what I can about putting my Dad...my sweet, sweet Daddy...in a hospice.

Hospice is a wonderful things for families in your situation. They will help you through this.

The only thing my Mom is worried about is that they will put a lien on the house, or so I have been told. I hope they do not. He has been approved for disability, but that will not start until May. I just want Dad to be at rest and my family to continue to endure through it all.

Well, we'll just pray that God works out ALL the details. That He takes care of the financial ends of this. And that He takes care of your dad and your mom and you through all of this.

Bro. Price, I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through. I went through it for 4 years. My husband had a brain tumor and two surgeries. I kept him home as long as I could before putting him in a nursing home one year before he died. It is so hard and my heart goes out to all of you. Don't give in to the pressure. I know how drained you are, but there is a light at the end of that tunnel. Hold on to what you know is there. He will help you through this, I know. It has been almost a year now, I am remarried and I will never forget what the Lord did for us in those 4 years. Gotta keep holding on dear one. I'll be praying for you and your family. Also, if you will go back to the dissability office, I know that my husband was not eligable at first and then as it progressed he was. I know that once they go into hospice it is done immediatly, now that is here in LA. Then they could not put a lien on anything. You might want to check.
