The Cloak Of Religion.

Woe to you,Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which appear outwardly but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.
Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men ,but inside you are full of dead men's bones.MATT.23:27,28 NKJV

Here we have Jesus Christ who was the God of The Old Testament manifest in humanity rebuking the religionists of His day due to their decaying condition of their inner man or being.

To many professing Christians appearing Spiritual rather than having genuine Spirituality has become a priority.

Many have to do things to try to appear spiritual because they are insecure about who they are in Christ, feeling they can never measure up and they feel they must earn Christ's love.

When one has Spiritual rest and understands their position in Christ and developes their relationship with Our Lord, then religion is not a cloak to cover up their insecurity.

When becoming a truly Spiritual person is a goal of a believer and a much cherished priority then trying to prove spirituality in not such a one's vocabulary because through The Spiritual rest of The Holy Ghost ,Spirituality is obtained and such a one realizes their self worth and value comes from being in Christ, and no effort of the flesh can take away or compete from the work of Christ's suffering and atoning work on Calvary.

The true cloak of Religion should be clothes of the servant. The Book tells to be clothed in the garment of humility!

I haven't been around here very long, but I saw someone has a picture of their profile that says something about a religion free zone. This thought is a head full! It makes me shudder to my feathers.
