Dell Desktop Great Deal

If anyone is in the market for a new desktop computer there is a promo code out there for $350 off Dell Inspiron Desktops that you configure at the Dell site with a regular price of $999 or more.

When you are configuring at the Dell site you will see your price with probably a $100-$150 discount. As you configure your system and see the price change with each component remember to add back that discount you have been given to see when you reach the $999 threshold to then apply the $350 discount promo code.

This promo code is good until 1/8 or until 6,000 people have found it on the internet and used it (it is not on the Dell site or advedrtised).

Tonight I bought a $1000+ compuer for about $650.00. They also have free shipping right now.

Here is the promo code you would enter at the checkout page and then it would recalculate the price of your computer showing the $350.00 discount being taken off the price;

Get an Inspirion 1420 and get it with Ubuntu installed. $499 with no coupons and it simply works.

LOL!! Thanks BORED. I left out the most important part.

BTW- I ordered 2 gigs of RAM with my system but wanted to upgrade to 4 gigs. I was shocked when I did a google search to find I could buy 1 GIG sticks of PC2 5300 DDR2 SDRAM for just $ 17.99 each!!! For about forty bucks including sales tax and shipping I got my 2 gigs of RAM. I had thought I was just looking for a future upgrade but that price was too good to pass up.

After reading good things about AMD's dual core chips I took the plunge and got the AMD 64x2 5000+ dual core processor rather than the Intel ones.

The laptop I bought last spring has an Intel dual core processor and it is fine but I think for the money that AMD chip was a good deal. I plan on using this system for Video and Audio editing almost exclusively and that processor does well with those tasks from what I have read.

I also am anxious to get to try out Vista Premium since my laptop only has Vista basic and it is pretty much XP only with things moved to unfamilar places. At least with Vista Premim you get the cool transparent layers from what I understand.

I need to buy me a good lightweight small laptop...If anyone would happened to find a deal on a small lightweight with a lot of memory please let me know. I travel so much I use a laptop more than a desktop...and as old age creeps on me the lighter weight the better for me!
Mine is worn out...I gave my other one away so in the near future I need to start looking for one. I am not real smart when it comes to computers...

Dell Outlet

Thats a good deal. I have a Dell also that I bought refurbished from the Dell Outlet. Faantastic dea.

Desktop/ Tower... 80 gig HD + Microsoft Office + 1 CD Rom drive. + 1 CDRW burner. + 80 GB HD for about $430 . Normal retail value would have been about double that. This was about 3 or 4 years ago, but they still have pretty good deals today. If you're ok with getting a refurbished item (mine came with a 1 year warranty), you might want to check them out at www.dell.com/outlet.
