What kind church are you having for New Years eve?

Last year, I missed the communion service and I was soooo sorry I did. I am not sure and I don't have any tangible truth, but I think things would have gone better this year had I been there.

Do any churches still do the watch-night thing where they put their people out on the street after midnight with all the crazies?? :D

Footwashing? Who is doing footwashing?

What kinds of services are you looking forward to?

I might go to my pastor's house for New Year's Eve, eat, play games etc. No church service though. I might also dig around and see if I can find someone having a service.

Our communion/footwashing is Jan 6th instead.

I'm with Rhoni. I was looking forward to New Year's Eve service. Oh well.

My church is not having aNew Years service. But we are having communion tomorrow morning then a potluck then no night service.

We're not doing anything.

But I'm planning to go down to Morgantown, KY to a service that my buddy is preaching at. I don't know what all they're gonna do. I don't think they're doing communion/footwashing and such, that I know of...

Well I am going to humble myself and wash my own feet then go to church to have a service then a church party until 12:15AM.

Our church will be cold and dark on New year's Eve. We will have regular services on Jan 1 (Tuesday night usual service)

The next week is prayer every night and I am also going to be not here much that week. Friday will be foot washing.

We generally go to this service http://firstnight.missouri.org/

We actually have a funeral to go to Monday (a couple died in a car accident on their way to church LAST Sunday in a horrible storm -since church is NEVER canceled, and when the doors are open, your expected to BE there! Our ex-church. AoG if you must know.).
But then will be spending Monday night either at home or with my brother in law.
