What ever happened to Big Idea?

It is such a long read that I never posted it. Monkeyface you are one who may read it.

Veggie Tales is gone and now owned by same company as Barney the Evil Dinosaur.

I've never seen a Veggie Tale's episode, but I'm assuming they are Christ-centered. Am I wrong?

A lot of Disney stuff is centered around potions, witches, and a hoochie princess!! lol

There's a BIG difference.
Very limited disney movies in my house...

There is a statement in the UPC law allowing folks to watch videos that are christian in nature, that are educational, etc., I don't know the exact wording.

There are movies out there that are family oriented. I wonder why the same admonition or allowance shouldn't be allowed in theaters, as in...you may attend movies in theaters if they are Christian in nature, inspirational, etc.

I know for a fact...a FACT that there are UPC ministers out there, not to mention sunday school teachers, board members and the general constituency who go out and rent videos that have nothing to do with inspiration, family values, etc. So what, they can watch them outside the evil eye of the judgemental constituency?

I suppose it is assumed that we cannot control ourselves so we need the law to do it...at least when we think when people are watching us.

In terms of a young child's brain development, not much. Keep the little ones away from all of it.

Veggie Tales movies teach about the bible. I haven't seen a Disney move teach about bible. There is a difference.
