A miracle
 

Most of you know Brother Alvear was in a terrible wreck that totaled the truck he was driving.
I have been meaning to mention this but have been so busy just haven't had the time.
Several things were lost or broke in the wreck but a most amazing thing happened. Brother Alvear LOVES to take pictures so when Sherrie and michael Newman sent me the camara as a token of love, Brother Alvear said to me, "now, Janice you must take good care of this and don't give it away." (lol....I am known to give things away without even thinking) After a while he said...Why don't you just let me keep it for you and take pictures...He feel in love with the camara. So when he got ready to go to the states he told me he was going to take it and take pictures of some of our friends and the churches. The camara was in his front shirt pocket. His pocket was torn off the shirt...he never recovered some expensive pen that someone had given him many years before but digging though the wreckage he found the camara. It had popped open but did not break the only thing that broke was the battery!

That camara was given in so much love that the angel of the Lord protected it and that is what we are taking pictures with since I have been in the states...
I just thought how God is so good to even protect a camara!

Sister Alvear, I am glad to hear that Brother Alvear survived this accident. I am also happy the Lord protected your camera for you. It's so easy to fall into the trap of thinking that God is only interested in the big things in our lives. Something as simple as watching over a camera shows He cares about so much more. Yes, I was quite amazed especially after I saw his shirt he hit so hard his chest was all black and blue someway ripped his shirt pocket off...amazing he found the camara and that the camara worked...

So glad the camera survived! I know it meant a lot to you, from a sentimental standpoint, coming from Newman's son.

yes, it did...the newman's are precious to us.
