What is with all the posts accusing others of UPC bashing or preacher bashing on AFF??

This is getting ridiculous!

Just because I may have formed an opinion about something or someone, doesn't mean that it is bashing! Good grief!

Let's be fair about what we call bashing!

Are opinions about Mark Hanby or other rouge liberal ex-UPC preachers considered bashing?

Can't I express the same type of opinion on rouge ultra-con preachers that are now ex-UPC. Is it just bashing if the opinion is about a conservative preachers?

Could we dispense with the whining about bashing?????

I have expressed myself here but I can truly say I have never BASHED anyone. Nothing wrong with expressing FACTS. This forum has been very therapeutic.

I have read posts that were harsh, accusative, and threatening on AFF, but a majority (certainly not all) were from the conservative perspective. In fact, I have called out those who went too far from a liberal perspective! It seems the other is fair game!

Let's call a spade a spade, and cease the whining!

I agree.. there were some who that was their goal... but... most of them are now gone! Its actually been semi peaceful around here compared to in times past...

My experience is that there are some who want to be called "preachers" and yet they quiver and quake if you challenge their "evangelistic" assertions. Since they feel that they have been "inspired" to speak as they do, questioning their motives, tactics or assertions will be seen as "rebellion."

Having learned rather painfully in the past that they simply cannot maintain the idea that their multitudinous opinions are all "inspired," they now complain that their feelings have been hurt whenever they find themselves in the wrong.

No, in fact they could not have been wrong. You are simply guilty of "preacher bashing."

As a UPC Pastor and for whatever my opinion is worth...
I do not think that a lot of bashing takes place here.

People are talked about here but there is another forum, which I'll leave nameless whose members openly accuse other ministers of having evil spirits, ect. THAT IS BASHING...

Tulsa was talked about a lot, but they brought that on themselves by calling their movement a "prefered Apostolic road (or whatever they called it) They came out of the gate with a "better than them" attitude. OOPS, I guess now I'm doing the bashing :) :)
