What Would You Buy/Not Buy From Ebay?

I have bought musical instruments, PS2 games, a 2006 Ford Freestar Van and am awaiting the arrival (tomorrow) of my first laptop computer purchased from ebay.

Some have expressed a little shock that I would trust ebay as a source to buy some of these items.

I have bought MANY items from ebay and only came out bad on one. It was a PS2 splitter type thingy and I learned something from the purchase.

First... it was shipped from CHina... forget it... it has to be local or it isn't worth the trouble if it doesn't work.

Second... There was a money back warranty on the item but it was being sold for ONE DOLLAR with about $10 shipping. So you can only get your $1 back,

So... one bad experience... and I learned... I now buy with more assurance than ever before.

I watch feedback... I do my due research... and I don't know if there are any items that I would NOT buy from ebay.

How about you?

Well what you do is get a license with another oneness org which is easier to obtain and then you can trade the other license in for a UPC license.

The easy way around. :)

then opt out of the SS program so that any employees (not licensed) can pay both sides of this 15.1% rock, while not being eligible as a 1099 contractor to expense operating costs!

but I digress......
with so many "ebay stores" ebay is more and more just a viewing portal.
I could not imagine buying computers and related junk anywhere but online, and ebay is certainly highup in the view-worthy sites.

I am very impressed with the feedback aspects of many online stores.
this is a little unrelated but....
I read reader's feedback at golf.com and found the information genuinely thoughtful (dare I go NewAge and say...empowering!) Yeah, of course you have to be aware of the folks who might "stuff the ballot box" but you can normally tell when a regular "joe" takes the time to write about his/her experiences at a hotel, golf-course, or with an ebay seller.

I am more leary of eBay lately because of how many thieves steal things, then turn around and sell them on eBay.

I'm very selective of my 'sellers'.

Yep... I haven't heard about the steal/sell on ebay thing you are speaking of but, as with anything, due diligence is required.

I tend to buy from Power Sellers (who could also be Power Thieves for all I know :) ) or do plenty of reserach to check into what I am buying and who I am buying from.

The guy I bought the van from is an EXCELLENT seller and I will probably buy my next vehicle through him if he is still there (and I have a feeling he will be)

Well, I have over 600 feedback on ebay... from buying and selling. Mostly Buying though...

I would NOT buy a car on ebay... I have enough problems trusting a dealer when I'm looking them eye to eye during a sales pitch... call me paranoid.. I just wouldn't risk buying a car on ebay. :D

I did buy a digital camera on ebay several years ago-- however I would NOT buy most electronic items on ebay... (if it wasn't nonworking when I bought it, it would be by the time my mail carrier got finished with it)

I have bought DVDs, Homeschool curriculum, clothing, books, toys, household items, gift certificates, etc...

I am an ebay addict. My dad has me sniping auctions for him. I beat one person by a three cent bid a couple of nights ago... got a nasty email from the bidder who lost the auction by three cents. :D I was tempted to write them back and tell them they can't blame ME because they weren't willing to bid as high as I was.... but I didn't. Just forwarded the nasty email they sent me to Safeharbor @ ebay. :D
