FCF was anti-Apostolic?

I remember at FCF they posted an article by Robert Sabin where he denied Tongues was necessary for salvation (the baptism of the Holy Ghost)....they posted it and said "discuss"...and some came OUT in fact in favor of RS's view...

I did not see a concerted effort by Cons to leave because the forum was going liberal and tearing down everything "apostolic"...instead I saw great conservative and moderate men (I include myself in there haha) standing up AGAINST that view point.

whatever is happening...or whatever the excuses given are....they in my opinion are sadly misplaced.

Prax,

In the past the premise of all of these forums was that they were based on the perspective of orthodox old time Oneness Pentecostalsim. From that basis all discussion flowed including some limited discussion of the role of Acts 2:38 in salvation as it related to what we came to call the PAJC "3 stepper" view vs. the PCI view.

I think the problem with AFF was that a group of brash liberal posters showed up who did not understand or care about the perpsective of the forum and proceeded to attack pretty much all of the orthodox OP views in a belittling manner.

I have always considered myself a guest on these forums. One who is here with a different perspective than the forum is based on and from that seat I have always tried to contend for my views and beliefs but with care to try and not offend as best I can.

I have had the feeling that some of the newer libs take great pleasure in attacking "sacred cows". It seems almost sport for them to make orthodox OP's angry and to offend them. Now we are reaping this despicable practice.

CC1, Those that take great pleasure in offending are hopefully rare.

That being said, I think it is incumbent on those who are strong in the faith, as Oneness Pentecostals, but do not share a three-step view of justification, to speak up and let their voices be heard. They are not the red headed stepchild (sorry! :) )

Bro French has documented 23 an possibly as high as 30 million Oneness Pentecostals on earth today. The three stepper perspective is quite likely a minority position among Oneness Pentecostals today.

Personally, I do not view the "PCI" Christians as anything other than what they are. Oneness Pentecostal Christian brethren.

Where can that information be found?

I have read this before sam.

One author said of all the people that have experiencd the infilling of the spirit and spoken in tongues only about 1 % of them taught that it was essential to salvation.

you are right...

The motto around there was "Truth can withstand scrutiny" and Jim Yohe was very confident in the 3-step Apostolic doctrine and he could defend it well....he was not afraid of things being questioned.

There were many cons there..and no, they did not leave. In fact, I do not remember cons leaving over the non apostolics there posting...

Do you mean among OP's? I would think it may be considerably higher among OP then non-OP.

The numbers I've seen quoted for Pentecostal/Charismatic Christians were between 4 and 6 hundred million. I've seen the 500 million number used on more than one occasion. That would include people in denominational churches who speak with tongues and people in Pentecostal denominations who believe in speaking with tongues but may not have personally experienced it.
