Anyone live near San Antonio?
 
My daughter is in San Antonio this weekend working with the Acquire the Fire conference. They are at Freeman Coliseum and she said tonight was awesome. Tomorrow it's all day long till late tomorrow night. She has helped with registration, break-out sessions for youth pastors, and altar working. She will be flying around the country helping with several of them over the next year or so. She started attending ATF when she was 11 in Nashville and has been many many times. It's an awesome life-changing youth conference.

I used to go, every year, to the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo held at the Freeman Coliseum. She's not in the prettiest part of San Antonio! I hope she gets to see other places.

I really don't think she's going to have time to see anything other than a gazillion teenagers and a cab back to the airport! I have heard that San Antonio is beautiful - the River Walk especially. We've never been.

I grew up there. It's still home for me! I wish she could see the Riverwalk. It's a lot of fun. I was proposed to at the Freeman, BTW - long time ago!!!!

Yeah, she may get to see it. She just called and told me that she is working from 9 AM till suppertime at ATF and then she and some of the leaders are going to eat somewhere nice before heading back for the night service. So I'm assuming they will go on the Riverwalk somewhere, unless that's just really far away from the Convention place.

Well, the Convention Center is downtown. So, I'm confused as to where she is now. lol

Sorry I mean the Freeman place - I was just calling it a convention center.

The riverwalk is downtown. What do you mean? Am I tired or just stupid. I can't figure it out. lol

OK - LET ME START OVER!!! She is at the Freeman Coliseum. Is that downtown? Is that anywhere near the Riverwalk??????
