What Gospel Did Jesus Preach?

What gospel is mentioned here? What gospel did Jesus preach?

16And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

17And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

20And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

21And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

He preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His Gospel- that outlines His Mission and His purpose. Its interesting that you would bring this up today. I was think just the other day that there is more than one Gospel.

There is Gospel of the Law and Prophets, OT teachings that lead us to Christ.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ that covers His life, His ministry and, leads us up to His Death, Burial Resurrection.

The Apostles Doctrine- The Plan of Salvation, the doctrine and order of the NT church.

The Gospel of the Kingdom- The End of time, 1000 year reign with Christ, the New Heaven and New Earth. This one is rarely preached, though it is the one that Jesus said must be preached before the end of time.

Actually, there is only one Gospel, but, as the 66 Books of the Bible make up one Bible, so, too, these Gospels combine together to form THE Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Bible speaks of the Gospel of God, of Christ, of the Lord Jesus Christ, of peace, of the Kingdom

Good thoughts Bro.

Is the Gospel of the Kingdom the same thing as the Everlasting Gospel?

There is only ONE gospel. This is clear from Gal 1:8 and Eph 4:5. The gospel (i.e. good news) is that the kingdom of God is at hand (Matt 4:17, Mk 1:15). This means that the kingdom of God (the rule/reign of God) is at hand (is within our grasp). Jesus makes clear that the kingdom of God is within us (Lk 17:21) and Paul agrees (Ro 14:17). They all preached the same gospel. The gospel is good news because the brokenhearted are healed, the captive is set free, the blind receive their sight (all of these figuratively and literally, of course), the bruised are set at liberty, and there is a special blessing upon the poor (Lk 4:18). The four Gospels and the Book of Acts is this in action - the gospel is seen at work. We get into the kingdom of God (salvation) by believing the gospel (Mk 1:15, Ro 10:8-11,16-17). The heart of the gospel, that upon which we put our faith, that which makes salvation possible, and into which we die, live and are baptized, is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Acts 2, Ro 10, 1 Cor 15, Gal 3:20-21, Eph 2:1-10) The OT simply forshadows all of this, and in this sense contains the gospel. Thats a main theme of the entire book of Hebrews, thats why the four Gospels keep quoting Old Testament prophecy, and why people like the Bereans could confirm the gospel the apostles taught by studying the OT (Acts 17:1-11), and why the NT constantly refers to the OT as confirmation of the gospel.
There is only ONE gospel.

Ever heard of "non-denominational"(Baptist) Bible "teacher" Les Feldick? He teaches there are two Gospels, Kingdom(Acts 2:38 salvation) for the Jews after the Rapture, and Grace(the greasy variety) for everyone else. He teaches that the Gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus and the Apostles preached was set aside because of His rejection by the Jews and it was replaced by Paul's Gospel of Grace. Because of this, the neccesity of Jesus' Name Baptism and the HGB are tossed out the window and repaced by Greasy Grace. After the Rapture, the Gospel of the Kingdom is back in business, being preached by the 144,000. Great, as if Dan Alicea needed another excuse to rip Acts 2:38 out of the Bible!

BTW to be clear, Feldick's teaching is laughable nonsense.

Does the term "greasy grace" not sicken anyone else.

I find it deplorable that one can speak of something so vital to the Christian experience as grace.

Grace purchased by so great a sacrafice, by Christs suffering on the cross.

I find it callous that we can enjoin the word grace with the term greasy.
